Cool your jets, Toots, this is the other diet page.

It says nothing about healthy ice cream. It talks about healthy fats and lots and lots of veggies.
Heather loves lots and lots and lots of fresh vegetables.

LOL I wish that was true, I've been working on it, but have you seen my food posts lately?? I'm under my carbs, but too many processed foods and veggies are nonexistant. I'm going shopping tomorrow, and I need to find some low carb veggie receipies, the problem is I don't like alot of veggies. Lettuce, cooked cabbage, carrots (which I can't have yet, darn it!), celery, black olives, tomatos, onions, and broccoli are pretty much it....any ideas??
Yes, I have seen your food posts and that's why I was trying to encourage you to eat more vegetables. With that list, you can eat a garbage salad with the Ken's ceasar salad dressing. What kind of meat is it that people normally put in cooked cabbage, is it sausage?
Do you eat taco salad? I brown my ground beef with garlic, and then add Taco Bell taco sauce(0 carbs) and heat. Spread that on a plate and top with grated cheese, lettuce, tomato, a dollop of sour cream, black olives, and more taco sauce or Pace picante sauce (it has no added sugar). That's my favorite meal.

I love taco salad, I think thats what I'm having for dinner tomorrow. how many carbs does taco sauce have in it? I usually use salsa, but between that and the amount of sour cream I like on my salad (I like my salad moist) it ends up being about 10 carbs for a meal, which is more than I like to 'spend' on one meal, since I only have 20/day (at least for now) And I might have to try cabbage with sausage...the only time I've actually had cabbage was when I was on the cabbage soup diet and thats when I realized I liked cooked cabbage...I'm gonna have to look that recipe up, maybe I could have cabbage soup with sausage....hmmm
This is the Taco Bell taco sauce I'm talking about.

I buy so much of it a lady looked in my cart and asked if it was on sale! It has zero carbs and calories per serving, unless you use a whole bottle, then it has four carbs. I know you are sticking to the Induction 20 carbs cuz you think you will lose weight faster, but in the long run, that will end up slowing or stopping your weight loss. When your two weeks is up, I would like to see you up your carbs to at least thirty not only for weight loss purposes and nutritional purposes, but so you will enjoy the diet more. At your level of carbs, I'd never be able to stay on this diet...it would be way too restrictive and I would need more variety! And when you start getting on that bike, you will need more complex carbs to fuel your workout. Just sayin'.

This is day 6 back on plan, after over 2 weeks off, so I still have 8 more days of induction left. I was planning on upping my carbs slowly like your supposed to, I just don't want my weight loss to slow too much. I have so much to lose, I just want to get it off as quick as possible. But with adding exercise to my plan I should be able to still loose and up my carbs, right?
I'm gonna have to try that taco sauce! Love the 0 carbs!

Sister, you are preaching to the choir! Of course we all want to lose this weight as quickly as possible, but being healthy at the end of the journey is important, too. It's especially important to up your carbs with lots coming from vegetables if you are going to start working out.
And try to eat as natural as possible, with only one bar a day. Those things are processed yanno and will slow down weight loss.
I use this taco sauce a lot! I put it on scrambed eggs, use it as a base for chili, pour it over cheeseburgers with jalapenos, and of course, my taco salad.
You could also use it to make sloppy joes for your daughter. My DH loves them. Of course his is made with the hot version and has a LOT of jalapenos!

I'm gonna have to try those sloppy joes with Jordyn, I'll have to get the mild sauce, though, she doesn't like things too spicy.
I'm gonna try and get more veggies in my diet, hopefully I'll learn to like them. And I don't know how to cut myself back to just one bar/day....I use them as a quick meal replacement when I'm on the go to or from school (thats when fast food REALLY tempts me) or anyother time I'm on the go super busy. They're more filling for me than the shakes, which I suppose are proccessed food too. If I could find something quick, satisfying, thats not messy/easy to travel with I would use that instead. I'm open to suggestions!!

At Walmart, they have string cheese that will last a few hours out of the fridge. Boiled eggs in a ziploc bag with salt sprinkled on. Celery stalks cleaned and stuffed with philadelphia cream cheese. I buy pork skins at Sam's in a big tub that don't have a porky taste to them and I eat them like chips. I also put cream cheese on them. This is where ziploc bags are your friend. I make a killer meatloaf and you could cut that up in bite size pieces, a hamburger patty, or pieces of meats that you have fixed for dinner. And all of this is way cheaper than the bars. Anything that you can have for finger foods, just don't forget the napkins!

No contest - I'd choose the spa (I hate cruises!). I've been to Canyon Ranch spa in Arizona for a program focused on weight/self esteem. The spa is fabulous! The food is really good; it's served in a restaurant with menus and you can order whatever you want - even the whole menu for one meal (I saw someone do this - an anorexic who looked at everything but ate nothing). The treatments and spa services are wonderful. The only thing I didn't like was that it was in the desert and I happen to think the desert is ugly. Although I'm a sun worshipper, I couldn't stand being outside for even a few minutes (it was the summertime). As soon as I walked outside, it felt like someone was holding a flame to my skin.
