Now I'm going to have to buy this book!  I went to her website today and she said, it's not your fault if you can't lose weight, no one ever taught you how to successfully diet.  I love that.  Just cuz you can learn a diet doesn't mean you can stay on a diet.  I wonder what kind of diet she recommends.

Mary:
I don't know what kind of diet she recommends but I do know that the CBT approach along with my food plan works.  You already know your food plan works and you've been practicing her approach so I don't think you need to make any changes.

Kim- great quote! This really hit home with what I'm working on with my councilor, she's always telling me to give myself credit for even the smallest things to build up my self confidance and self esteem. I just never connected it to helping with my eating plan.

Heather:
Yes, there is a connection, at least there was for me!  The more you give yourself credit for doing something right, the better your self esteem and the better your self esteem, the more you will WANT to eat healthy and lose weight and feel good about yourself.
