Good Sunday morning to you all! just wanted to share that I have changed my goal weight to 160 my former goal was 185, which I have been over 200 lbs since 7th grade and over 300lbs for the last 2 years, so 185 seemed like such a lofty goal as it was, but I truley believe I can do 160 now, and I have set my ticker as such, so wish me luck on this looong journey, to me this is about changing who I am in regards to food, my views, my feelings, and emotional attachments to food, My next weigh in is coming up on the last day of Feb, I will let you all know how I've done! by the way, how do you get your ticker attached in your signature? thanks!

Michelle:
160 seems like a doable goal but remember to have interim goals so it doesn't seem so impossible.  I can't wait to hear about your upcoming weigh in.  You've done so well staying on track!

Thank you kim, Yes I do need to set smaller goals to reach along the way, I think I will set a certain goal of fitting into a certain size or something like that, I think that will help me keep motivated!

Hi Michelle

I say go for it! Set those short term goals when ever you like but in the back of your mind you'll know you are going for 160. The same thing happened to me. I was shooting for 150 but now I'm going for 135. I really know I'll get there someday before I'm 40. I'm not going to stop until I get there. And I hear ya on the emotional eating stuff. I sometimes wonder how different of a person I will be having truly broken that tie to food.
