CPAP machine once again
Today the Praxair salesman stopped by and checked my CPAP machine, and said it's working fine. He also showed me how to reassemble the nose piece after cleaning and drying, so now I can do that by myself. He helped me to fit the headpiece with the velcro straps perfectly, so I don't get any leakage through the nose piece. He told me I had done nothing wrong, and that I needed an adjustment period of at least a month to get used to it. He said if I couldn't sleep right away with it on, to take it off for the night, and try again the next night, keeping it on a little bit longer.
Right now, I have to take an Ambien just to calm my anxiety about wearing the mask on my face, even though it only goes over my nose. He suggested I call the sleep study doctor and ask him or her about using medication with the CPAP. I'll do that tomorrow.
Thought I'd let you all know how things are going. Thanks for the websites and the support.
