What am I doing?

I can't get it back. I can't get my gusto, my desire and my determination back. I am falling apart and it's not good.  I don't know what I'm doing. I do good for a  few days and I screw it all up again. I know I have to get it together and I know I can do it long term the way I am doing it because there is no deprivation involved other than serving sizes but I am just not doing it.

Pray for me, please. I need all the get up and go I can get so this fat can get up and disappear!

Thanks gals!

Beth....we've missed you!  I would suggest posting your food intake every day with us....I find that just knowing I'm going to do that helps me make wiser choices somedays.  And even if you're not having a good day....I think the honesty and accountability is beneficial.  I think it also makes me more aware of what's going in my mouth (sometimes unconciously).

We're all in this struggling together and I will certainly keep you in my prayers!!

I totally agree with you Sherrie. My current problem is that somedays I just don't find the time or desire to get on the computer. I get up at 5, leave at 6 and get home at 6 just to make supper, do homework and spend time with the girls, shower and then go back to bed again. It sucks but that paycheck helps sooooooooooooooo much!

Just gotta find the time.

Prayers sent.

A back on track idea:

Here's a thought Dr Phil suggested on his new year resolution show- there were several steps to making a resolution work (on his website) but one I liked was Consequences: eg IF you go off from the plan (eg food/workout)the you miss out on something you like the next day: eg TV time, coffee, reading... whatever you love.

I miss u too, beth! Please come back and post, even to whine for a while. We all do it...and there are some who get very irritated about whining when we should be "just doing it", but to me, there is value in whining - you may accidentally type out the very solution you need to fix this.

we ALL get so very tired. patience and determination and planning skills tend to be very thin for us fatchicks - BUTT this is something that we CAN change, just hold a mustard seed of faith on that one.

YOU. CAN. CHANGE.

My Friend, put that intention in your heart and your actions will follow it.

Neecee, you once told me, "You are changing butterfly." I just have to remember I don't want o be that ugly old caterpillar or hide in my cocoon anymore. I agree with whining. Sometimes it is very therapeutic and change inducing.

It's a tough place to be.  I know my motivation hit a wall a bit when I hit 60lbs down and I really think it was a) me needing to accept what I've accomplished so far and b) find what was going to push me to the next level.

Some advice:
To find your motivation, ask what is it you want NOW and why?
Spend time educating yourself
Define what type of commitment is needed
Relate that commitment to how badly you want this
Define why you don't want where you are now
Face fears you have, whatever they are
Recover, learn, be flexible
Think positive
Remind yourself, this is now how you live
Establish ONLY a supportive environment
Manage your expectations
Surround yourself with and learn from successful people
Judge yourself against yourself
And remember this is your journey and no one else's....

Aww Beth...

That sucks girl.  I'm with Neecee - Come back to the boards and whine at us for a while.  I know that I find inspiration from being on these boards with you guys.  Maybe you'll do the same thing?
