I suppose I should have let Kim do this post for me cuz I ain't been nothin' but bad all weekend.  Ya'll know how it is when we get out of schedule and don't pay attention.  I normally have a hard time getting in all of my water, but I have been trying very hard and I've been pretty good lately.  This weekend, I was sooooo busy that the only water I got in was to take vitamins twice. Bag Head I'm trying to do better today, but there is a whole crew of good looking guys in my yard clearing out pine trees.  Dayum!  How distracting is THAT?

For alla you scale ho's...and you know who you are...this is a link to what I read last night about why your scale is a liar.  It won't keep you off of the scale, but it will help you figure out why all of the fluctuations.

I bought a big "jug" at walmart to keep me on track with my water intake, if I fill it up and drink all of its contents twice a day I have drank 1 gallon of water, somedays I dont drink it all, but most days I do, so that has really helped me, ,,

Chell, a GALLON of water a day??? Fainting You and Ruth are my heroes!  It would take me all day and all night to get that down.  I suppose my problem is that I'm just not thirsty.  I have a big jug, too that I drink first thing in the morning and then refill.  It's the second one that I am usually trying to get down late in the afternoon and before I go to bed.

A whole gallon. Thumbs Up

I do not drink hardly any water. This is something really need to consider. This is probably why I have only been losing about 1lb a week. I know it is good, but I think I could be doing better if I drank more water. I probably drink about what you had this weekend for water is all I get in a week. That is awefull, I am going off the diet pop, I am drinking way to much!!!

Thanks for the info. I know I learned alot.

Well I did a couple of days ago, but I actually went out and bought the 2002 Atkins book and a book of recipes to go with. Thanks for the link Friday, Mary. Are the flax meal muffins in a cup really allowed on induction? They sound like they would be a nice change from my frittata of the week.

Now I just need to make time to read the boo****il then it's just catch as catch can with low carb/high protein. I figure it will make transitioning to induction easier if I have quit the B&J's strawberry shortcake ice cream before hand.

Water has never been my problem. I start the day with a 32 oz. iced tea, no sugar, and when that is gone I just refill the cup, usually at least 2-3 times a day. It's a wonder I haven't floated away yet.

Way to go Jan, you're the proud owner of a DANDR 2002!  Mine is so worn out, I could use a new one masself.  And I wish that I could answer your question, but I'm just not a flax meal muffin kinda girl.

However, when you move up a few rungs on the OWL ladder and you get to low glycemic fruit, you can have strawberries (I like mine ice cold) dipped in homemade whipped cream.  To DIE for!

You know something else that would be interesting is to take the online classes on the Atkins site.  They're free and very informative.

Trisha! Drink water girl! You're cells are screaming that they wan****er!! I can hear them all the way over here in Oregon!!   It would really help your weight loss, and help you feel full if you try and drink more water. The old rule I've heard is drink half your body weight in ounces of water each day. For me that would be 197 ounces, or over 6-32 ounce mugs of water each day! (I think I need to work on my water intake too, now that you mention it...I know I'm not drinking THAT much a day) Work up to it, don't try to jump up from no water to a ton of water over night...you'll be going potty all day if you try! (trust me, I have tried this, not fun!) Also, stop drinking a few hours before bed, or you'll be getting up all night to pee too! (it really, REALLY doesn't work to try and get all your days water the last couple hours before bed...tried this too,  and I would have gotten more sleep if I slept in the bathroom that night!!)

Yanno, I could fuss and tell you how important it is for you to drink your water, but that would make me "Pot" and you "Kettle", so I think I'll just slink off into the corner and hide!

But as a bonafide Pepsi addict, I will tell you that I feel so much better now that I'm not rusting my pipes with that kind of stuff anymore.  Excellent decision you have made!

I have become a Diet Pepsi addict, it is crazy!! I drink more than a 24pk a week, I am gonna work on that next, I am going to try and get as much water as possible from now on. I tried to use diet pepsi as something I can have, but I think it could be slowing down my weight loss, GGGRRR!!!
