what did you eat today? 1/25/09
Breakfast- 8 mini cheddar sausage links, celery w. cream cheese, sf jello
Snack- atkins shake
lunch- hamburger w. lettace, cheese, mayo, mustard, Cottage cheese, cheese stick
snack- 1 tbsp P.B cheesecake mix
Dinner- Fish fillet, grilled w. cabbage, side of cottage cheese, and small salad (may not eat it all but thats the plan)
Sorry Ive been MIA for a while. Have'nt been myself, I started classes back up and tried to manage watching what I am eating has been really heard. Hopefully I am gonna be back on track. I was battling changing diet plans but I am gonna stick with Atkins I think. Sometimes I think I get scared and want to change when its wanting to run away from what I am scared of, which is happiness. Is that wrong??? Anyway Ive really Missed you guys!!!!

B: 1 cup steel cut oatmeal
6 oz. plain LF yogurt
5 sliced strawberries
S: WW string cheese
L: leftovers from last night's dinner out...
chicken breast with artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, asparagus spears cooked in a sherry wine sauce with mashed potatoes
D: going out to a barbeque place....heaven help me!! (being taken out by another couple...not my choice of restaurant)
3 barbecue ribs
1 cup pulled pork
green bean casserole
barbequed beans
(Way too much barbeque sauce in all of this and we all know barbeque sauce has sugar in it, so I guess this amounts to going off plan....for the first time in the last 3 weeks). I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it though...it tasted good and tomorrow is another day.

Original goal: lose 53 lbs. New goal: lose 68-78 lbs total.
WOW, Its just been an emotional rollercoaster for me the last couple of weeks! TOM took a while to get here then when he did he threw me for a loop!! But its not TOM's fault he will be around for a while so I am gonna have to deal through that as well, huh? Well to be honest I thought I would do fine if I didnt post my meal which back fired on me, I would gave good intention to start then I would slip alittle then then "I already messed up what difference is it if I continue" NOPE Ive gained about 3lbs back, just weighed myself thismorning because I didnt make my schedule and make myself accountable for what I ate. Todays my first FULL day back and I have not cheated, really havnt had an urge either!! So......Here I am looking for help to continue. I am look to go to florida in about 3months, then a wedding about 4 months away, oh dont forget summer is around the corner and I need to look HOT for the beach (okay HOT is alittle over the top, but...) and I have alot of catching up to do. SO I may need some Jillian attitude going on MARY!!!! My life looking ahead depends on it!!!
But can we talk about your schitzophrenia for a sec? At the beginning of your post, you mention...scared to death of becoming a different person and afraid of failing. At the end, you talk about the need to look hot. News flash! In order to look hot, you have to become a different person. A STRONGER person who looks weight loss failure straight in the eye and says, "You are not an option and you can't win this war".
And Sweetie, You Ain'tcha Mama! It sounds like she had some serious issues that she didn't handle well. Especially at a time in your life when it would have the greatest impact on your psyche. The only person we are allowed to judge is ourselves. Examine your reasons for why you want what you want, and base your conclusions on who you are, not what you might become. Now you know in your heart that you want to be one Hot Mama for your husband and how that makes you feel about yourself. So, no worries, go for it and make us proud and your husband drool. That's what you deserve...to be the best that you can be for what makes YOU happy.
And if you go off plan, I'm going to be gunning for you when TOM has left the building!

Breakfast
- Quaker Simple Harvest maple brown sugar and pecan instant multigrain hot cereal
- One cup of fresh raspberries
- Wonderslim chocolate mint protein bar
- Water
Lunch - hummus open-face sandwiches
- About six tablespoons of roasted pine nut hummus
- Three slices of 40 calorie whole wheat bread
- Spinach leaves, cherry tomatoes, and two garlic pickles
- Water
- Small bite of German chocolate containing Christmas spices
Dinner - not feeling very hungry
- Large salad of five lettuce mix, red cabbage, baby carrots, 1 oz of crumbled parmesan, and two tablespoons of Marie's spinach salad dressing
- One cup of fresh strawberries
- Water
I went to the health food store and bought flaxseed meal and wheat germ to use to up the nutrition in oatmeal and other hot cereals. Maybe I'll try sprinkling some wheat germ on the strawberries.

My husband and I went to costco and bought a costco take & bake pizza for 7 bucks we have been eating it for the past 2 days..... Tomorrow I will do better. Not that my menus have been stellar but once we eat all the crap out of our house I'm going to try to eat better. But now I have to control my portions. =)
