S: No protein shake
L: Protein shake (5 carbs)
S: Bologna & cheese rollups.
D: No clue.


I weighed in at 271.6 this morning - 3 pounds heavier than I was on Monday.  Granted I have my period, but still - it was disappointing.  And then, boy trouble.

Over the weekend, Jonathan and I had a "fight" again, and he pretty much gave in and said we'd start over.  I told him that I didn't know and I'd have to think about it.  He called me religiously for the last 5 days.  Absolute doll.  Then, this morning, he called me and wanted to see me for lunch.  I told him no (a lot more than just "no" but whatever) and he said he was giving up on this, giving up on me, wouldn't be calling me, texting me, etc.  Part of me doesn't care, because I was pretty sure I was going to kick him to the side for good, but the other part of me is hurt because it hurts to hear that someone is giving up on you, no matter what the cir****tances are.

You know that TOM weight will go away as fast as it came.

I'm on liquids today cuz I had a fill yesterday.  Here's what I am having.

B:  SF Carnation Instant Breakfast

L:  1/2 Tomato Soup at Hand, 1 SF choc pudding

S:  SF CIB and 1 SF choc pudding

Back to regular diet tomorrow.

Hey, you know, many of us get so caught up in the lbs.  The thing is, the body has a natural fluctuation and the more obese you are, the more it can fluctuate.  3-5 lbs is a given.  With that said, why not just weigh yourself monthly and look for the overall trend.  You'll drive yourself nuts otherwise.

I try to stay weekly, and was happy with that, until two weeks ago when I gained 6 pounds in one week.  Had I weighed myself everyday that week, I would have seen a weight gain after 1 pound, and turned my diet around and not gained all 6 pounds.  So now I'm scared to let a day go by without weighing myself.  I'll probably go back to weekly, though.  Everyday is driving me nuts.

Dont feel bad we all have bad weeks and sometimes it just sneeks up on us. I tend to weight myself everyday. Not that I think a big change is gonna happen in a day but im always worried about goin up. So I drive myself crazy with the scale. I know I shouldnt do it so much but its a hard habit to break..

So, if you had gained a lb you would have pulled in the reigns you say, however that 1 lb can be normal fluctuation.  Why not judge instead by whether or not you stick to your program?

Because I thought I was sticking to my program.  I didn't realize the effect sugar Alcohol had on me until that week went by and I was 6 pounds up.

I hear ya.  But the SA is really jus****er weight because sugar refills your glycogen load...think of it this way, it's the hydrate in carbohydrate.  Anyway, it will be gone when you stick to clean and green... just also be sure to count calories, not just carbs, and avoid frankenfoods.

Oh, Janina....so discouraging when you're trying so hard....hang in there!

B:  1 egg, 2 whites scrambled with LS ketchup
L:  1 cup clam chowder (not even good...at Perkins)
      small side salad with balsamic vinagerette
S:  WW string cheese
      handful cashews
      5 dried apricots
D:  2 cups seafood chowder (wonderful!!)
      large salad with Romaine, chick peas, red onion, matchstick carrots, radishes, celery
      2 Tbsp. Italian salad dressing
S:  TBD
