What did you eat today? 01/21

B: Coffee w/cream
S: Nothing (no protein shake today*)
L: Sausage & Peppers (3 carbs)
D: Steak and salad (3 carbs)

Carbs: 6

* I've weighed myself on Monday, Tuesday and Today and have made no progress, so I'm super curious if the protein shake is the problem.  I'm going to go without the protein shake for today and see if I make progress. 

Do you think the extra protein is the problem? Too many carbs?  (5 carbs)

What are the ingredients in this protein shake?  It may not be the carb count, but hidden sugars slowing you down.

Sounds like it's not your shake...those ingredients are all good.

I have a question for you about your band...I'll have to admit I have an abundance of ignorance on the subject.  Does your band restrict you from eating more fruits and vegetables, or is there some sort of really really low carb thing that you have to do that makes you not be able to get in at least twenty carbs a day?  I've heard you say that it's too tight in the morning and that's why you have to do the shakes, I was just wondering if it might be a fiber thing or sumpn'.  See, I don't even know enough to know if I'm asking the right question!

No the only thing my band does is make me too tight in the morning, which is why I drink shakes for breakfast.  I can eat anything I want after about noon.  Nothing bothers my band really.  I'm lucky.  And my restriction isn't so good right now, so I could probably eat breakfast if I wanted to, I just don't try because I'm too scared to throw it up.

Wow, Janina...can't help you out.  Maybe time to start some exercise....even 10 min. on the treadmill to start out.  It would probably bump up your metabolism and might get things going....just a suggestion.

B:  1 cup steel cut oatmeal
      6 oz plain LF yogurt
      1 cup blueberries
L:  large salad with Romaine, celery, radishes, Italian dressing, 6 oz. tuna, 1/2 cup french style   green beans
S:  tangerine
D:  2 cups homemade chili
S:  1/2 cup LF cottage cheese
      1 cup sliced strawberries

Today was a cow day.... Always it when I am w/ my mom.

B - 1/2 club sandwich and fries
L - 1/2 club sandwich
D - Whopper w/ Cheese and small fries

I hate eating fast food like BK and MD too because my stomach doesn't like it but I eat it anyway... Owell tomorrow will be much better.

Neen...geez oh man...your food is on the light side to me, are you eating a hearty portion of the steak or peppers? I hope so.

Past that, all i got is to do some exercise...i know it ain't you, but that's all i can think of.  Even 2-3x a week for now may shake you up.

My day yesterday:

1 egg + 2 turkey sausage

1 hi pro drink

L:  1/2 c chili beans (heavy on the kidneys) + 2 oz sy/meat patty + 1 c salad lite dressing

2 beers + 1 pita with shred pork while bs ing with an old bud!

Supper:  late: 1.5 c pasta with lean beef in sauce + 1 slice bread + 1/2 **** cream with 2 oz cereal stuff on it.
