How is everyone doing??
Holly I have been reading the things that you have been eating and i must give you a congrats I think you are finally on track and you are doing great!!! Even your posts it seems that you are in such a different state of mind!!! :) Glad you are doing the do!!!

As for me..well its been a rough past month! Had a good Christmas..ate to much!! Then 2 days after Christmas..we had a head on accident..my husband was driving and our two boys was with us..it totaled out my suburban..and totaled out the other car. The other car was at fault they crossed into our lane and we just couldnt get away fast enough. So anyways, the husband and kids were fine..THANK GOD!! I have some leg damage..I have a blood clot..hematoma..yeah spelling is totally off..but its right by my knee..I have gone to the doctor to only find out that this is what it is..and it is a slow process of going away..just rough to sleep at night..if my husband hits it barely it wakes me up in pain! Its hard to put any pressure on it..it sucks!! So i have been totally down about my suburban..which i did get another vehicle..but the new years just sucked because i was totally depressed and for a week i was barely getting around..and when i was getting around..i was in pain..it still seems like a nightmare that I havent woke up from yet..so anyways, no exercising for me..and my eating has gone to ****!! So..I am back to work after Christmas break and trying to get back into eating like i was..took a new position at work on top of what i do now..so i am now the child nutrition coordinator..which sets me getting home after 4 everynight..I have no time to do much of anything..its crazy..but hey its more money..so anyways i hope everyone is doing good and staying on track!!

Oh my Gosh Stacey!! Thank God you and your family made it out of the crash unhurt!! (considering what COULD have happened)  Will the doctors be doing anything about the clot? Or are will it resolve itself?  Try not to be too down, you have your family, a new car that the other person's insurance will pay for, and a job that gets you home early (compared to most 9-5 jobs)!

Won't be nothing for the clot as of right now..jus****ching it..and hoping it slowly goes away..i could have a knot there forever...its just a wait and see type thing..I'm not a patient person i'm ready for things to be back to normal and he told me this is a SLOW process..go figure!  So as of right now we are just hoping it resolves itself..i have to go back for another checkup...

Just sucks that within mins something u work so hard for..can be taken away...and well they did pay off my suburban..and i was able to get enough money to put down on another one..but instead of having mine paid off in 2 yrs..i have 5 yrs to pay on one now..its newer and less miles but still..but hey everything happens for a reason..i really am just thankful that my kids and husband and we were all ok! And my new job..i get there before 8am..and i wor****il 4..i usually before got home at times before 330..i have a lot more to do now though..but it will all work out!!

Stacey:
Wow, you've been through so much.  I'm sorry you were involved in a car accident.  I know you're thankful it wasn't worse than it was.   Glad to hear you're on the mend and congrats on the new job!  Take some time for yourself, even if it's just a few minutes a day.
We're glad you're back,
Kim

Hi Kim!!
 How are you doing??
Yeah its been a rough month..but as always we are getting through it! Just wasnt the way i wanted to spend 2 weeks off with my family for  Christmas..but everything happens for a reason right? And God was watching over us..we all came out not badly hurt..esp. our kids and husband.. i truely believe it was our vehicle that saved us!

I will have to check in more often!! :)

Stacey! that is horrible! As you say, lots to be thankful for that you are all okay. I bet you are all still in shock; friends of mine say it takes a while to get past the trauma of getting into a wreck. Be kind to yourself.

This is a prime example of how life can throw a curveball and we must adapt. Remember that exercise is only about 10-20% of the weight loss equation - my point is to concnetrate on eating right. You do need higher protein to heal up right, and fruits/veggies never hurt anyone. Concentrate on that!

what do you mean, child nutrition coordinator? That is basically my title at work! PM me when you get a chance!

Take care, sweet Lady!

PS:  I am coming to Fayetteville in February.  Is that too far for you to think about coming?  How is the weather back there?

Awwe Stacey, I'm so sorry that you've had to go through all of this.   Big Hug I hope you are feeling better soon.  Make sure that your doc keeps an eye on that hematoma and that it doesn't get hard.  Elevation is the best thing you can do for such a thing.

Stay sweet,

Mary
