Taking the plunge!
I am taking a small part in a month-long experiment that about 50 people are doing. They're getting close to the end of a month during which they didn't consume anything but Isagenix foods. (Normally we'd have one shake or soup as a meal replacement once weight loss goals were realized) I often have the soup or a second shake during the day just because I like the stuff and it's so good for me, or when I want to drop a pound or so on any given day.
Well, I didn't sign up for the 30-day experiment, but I've been watching the results of those who did. Energy skyrocketing, inches and pounds melting off people who thought they'd accomplished what they needed to, and a lot of other great results.
Today I pulled out the dreaded measuring tape and hopped on the scale. Seems I've allowed a few pounds to creep back on. I'm sure 2 of them are chai latte related, and the others represent the frequent glasses of wine enjoyed with my nearly DAILY company since this baby was born. I'm back at 141 now, up from the 135 at which I feel most comfortable. I maintained 130 for a while but kept being called "skinny" and that was never my goal.
So today I started my morning with 28 oz of water and 4 ounces of 'Cleanse for Life' liquid. Also taking Natural Accelerator capsules and all of my vitamins. I will consume 16 oz of the cleanse liquid today, and a minimum of 100 oz water. There are little snacks that keep blood sugars level, etc, that are part of our programs. Other than that, I will pretty much be drinking the liquid nutritional cleanse today and tomorrow. Then for the next 5 days, I'll have only Isagenix foods every single day, and a minimum of 100 oz water (I'll allow herbal and green tea, but that won't count toward the 100) I've got shakes, fruit and vegetable products, bars, soup, chocolates, and cookies. On Saturday I'll post my "so far" results. That will have given this a full 5 days to do the magic.
I measured my waist, belly, hips, and thighs, so I'll also post inches lost. I may give more frequent updates on my OH page, but I won't add any more to the forum except my Saturday update, and then a Wednesday next week "final" result.
What sets what I'm doing apart from a VeryLowCalorieDiet is that it is, simply stated, VeryHighlyConcentratedNutrition instead. The results will speak for themselves.
Pictures will be posted! Mayhaps I'll do a "before" today if I feel ambitious!!!

As you wish. However, in truth, no. The "issues" with a typical VLCD would be nutritional bankrupcy. I am thankful for the science which makes this a non-issue. Again; the health and success speak loudly for themselves. Onward. I'll check in with my inch and pound success later.
PS: Added later - how many calories am I consuming a day? Oh, that's right! You don't know!!!

As Dr. Dennis Harper proved, and Randall Burt confirmed with a similar test process, this particular highly nutritionally concentrated food system and cleansing encourages lean body mass production rather than loss. Our team member with polio who went through 90 days of the system from his wheelchair and built lean body mass would have a hard time lumping this with your VLCD concern. We speak of lean body tissue, rather than specifically muscle. This nutritional replenishing system I am using does NOT canabolize lean body tissue. I understand that you are coming from an opinion based upon your study. I am coming from an opinion also based upon study, but also from physical experience and intimate knowledge of others who have done the same thing and have experienced the same outcome. There is a list of about 500 of these with which I could provide you, however you've made it quite clear that you and those you study with are the only trustworthy sources of information! So I'll just keep my success and you can keep your opinion! :-) Life's good!
Hey 'Skinny'...drinking all of that liquid definitely makes you a better woman than ME! As you know, I consider it a good day when I've gotten in 64oz. of water.
So, are these pics going to include your pics for the Butt Contest? According to Kimmie, hers is down from her weight loss, so we may have to postpone it for a while. And I'm having a revision to my tummy tuck incision and a little back lipo, so I'm going to be a bit swole up. I don't know whether to take my pics now or later. What'cha think?

Hmmmmmm YES! After my 9 days of Isa Heaven I'll be ready to post my butt. I'll be building lean muscle on my buns and stuff. But I'll wait for you (if you want to decompress after surgery) and Kimmie. Just means it will keep me squeezin.
I'm a heavy drinker, but of course that makes me a frequent potty-user as well.
I'm excited for this little emphasis of mine because I want to try tucking in shirts. I'm feeling a little tiny bit hungry today, but it's definitely something I can manage. I didn't take a "before" pic, which is really an afer/before pic you know... but I can post a couple that show I've allowed a little bit of insulation to reposition itself.
*sigh*
Good luck with the knife, girlfriend! You're already pretty darned close to perfection.

Yep, it might be best if we wait. Kimmie's butt has deflated, and mine will be blowed up! Jeeze are we ever going to reach a point when all three of our butts will be just right???
Thanks for the well wishes. This is just a revision to my tt incision to even things out and he wants to put a stick in my back to smooth things out. No biggie really.
Being slightly hungry is a beautiful thing.

Far be it for me to argue results with a 141 pounder - this at your fattest! What was your starting weight? You are obviously doing something right.
A "pretty" to VLCD for most of us oldsters is right about how we have to lose weight anymore...don't care what anyone sez. The other option is to eat fairly low cal - absolutely no more than 1700 cals daily and work out at competition level. Just. not. likely. for. many. of. us.
I give you kudos for getting nutrition in at that level. I am curious to see how you feel doing so.
