GBS?
Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to make sure that it is kosher to be in this MB even if you never had GBS. I will probably never get GBS. I'm 5'7 around 205 lbs my largest weight ever and I thought this board would be good at helping me be accountable with my lifestyle changes. There was something that went off mentally as soon as the scale reached 200. I've really enjoyed the MB so far everyone is so positive and supportive.
Thanks

Hey Kat, welcome to the board. It's pretty much Kosher for anybody to come to this board. Unfortunately, we are not chalk full of info on weight loss surgery, but we know a lot about what it takes to get your head right to lose weight. And we all know it ain't easy, but coming here to get a different take on what you are going through helps you to know that you are not alone on this journey.
At 5'7 and 205, I wouldn't consider surgery for you either. Youze just a li'l chunkee, and if you get your act together, which it sounds like you're doing, you'll be skinny by Christmas!

Welcome! I think it's great that you're focused on losing the weight and getting healthy. I wish I had that realization when the scale hit 200. Instead I sat in denial for years as the numbers on the scale kept creeping up! I've been losing with Weigh****cher's for 3 years and have mangaged to stay very focused on my weight loss. Good luck to you!
I lost my weight with Weight Watcher's & Zumba. I've lost 302 lbs. You can visit my weight loss website at www.freewebs.com/infectiouslaughter
I'll be in the Jan. 2012 issue of People Magazine's "Half Their Weight" issue!!
Congrats on your weight loss! I think what finally motivated me was watching other people I <3 get sick, along with the fact I have a box of pants that I wish I could fit into. I save them for the day I finally decide to lose weight. I've decided many times but ususally within a week I am back to my old habits. But I hope it will stick this time.
