What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud?
Why, you may ask am I so proud of this one little word? Well, it means that at fifty-one, I am in better health than I have been in the last 20 years, and all of my healthy eating and working out has paid off. For the last ten years I have been doing right by my body and I am reaping the rewards in health benefits. So today, I am proud to be normal! Sheesh, that was a lot of work.
For all of you out there struggling to get to normal, or who are maintaining normal, just remember, this is the rest of your life we are talking about here, and I pray that you are able to get here...it's a beautiful place to be!

First off way to go!!!! Woo hoo Mary!!! You have worked so hard to be were you are and that is wonderful!!!! I couldnt be any more happy for you!!!! I am in tears right now!!!!
As for me, I havnt done anything in almost a week or really today to be proud of. I have had almost everything insight, including 2 packs of M&Ms, 1 box Junior Mints, pasta at Olive garden, Fried battered mushrooms, pizza stick and 2 large pieces of pizza, I need'nt go on. I think I have let my 15lbs get to my head and this is about the time when my mind trys and trick me into thinking I am done losing, when I AM NOT. It ALWAYS happens, like I tell myself "you can reward yourself and not really have to do it anymore" I know it sounds crazy but I am soooo tired of how hard this has been mental with food. I really takes ALOT out of you to not eat what is bad. Just like many of the OH family lately I have fallen and dont know how to get up. Everyday I start out good but end up doing bad. And with atkins it is much easier to do bad because pastas and bread and alot of things are prohibited. Okay now I am venting. Its not atkins fault, ITS ME!!!
So! Tomarrow I am going to take the day and find the things that I like and can live with instead of what diet is the easiest to lose weight fast on, and I will see if I can live on it when I am done losing. I WANT TO MAKE MYSELF EXERCISE EVERYDAY!!! (Okay, thats my next goal to work towards.) I mean I am an at home mom with chores, kids, and school to keep me busy, but I seem to have time to watch TV, which I can do while exercising, right!!!!!
Anyway I know this is supposed to be about what I feel proud for and should have made a fresh post for this but it has really been bothering me for a couple days, thats why I havnt posted food, or responses. Sorry everyone!! Thanks for letting me vent!!
Love you all!!!!!
And tell your brain it's full of crap if it thinks you are EVER done losing! Once you are at goal, you're body will challenge you internally for the rest of your life to go back to being obese. So get your brain straight with the fact that you can never go back to the way you ate before. That's how you got fat and miserable in the first place.
I wish I could tell you what to do to make you love exercise, but I'm one that has to force myself to do it, so I got nothing. The best thing I can say about working out is that it makes you stronger, more empowered and sometimes, it's the only thing that will get the scale moving in the right direction. Tomorrow is another day, but today is the day to start getting your mind wrapped around what it will take for YOU to become normal!

This time I am approaching weight loss with this truth: junk food will not be my friend EVER!
I will have to eat sensibly, specially once at goal. Monday I tossed the scale, so that I won't return to my scale ho ways. Every day that I eat midfully, and in moderation is victory. The number is not the final goal, freedom from addictive eating is.
No lean cusine, no pills, no gimmicky diet crutches. Whole foods, cooked in my kitchen combined with exercise is the only way. This realization makes me proud.

Now just funnin ya, Mar! God bless you and I am so happy that your body and mind will be here in any shape to goof off with us.
Love ya!
My proud? well, this is hard for health reasons to find one. I did not eat crap today, how's that. I could have in the absence of good food that was not around.
"The only way to keep your health is to eat what you don't want, drink what you don't like, and do what you'd rather not." ~Mark Twain
Not eating crap is a big huge accomplishment for someone who used to be addicted to crap! I don't think you give yourself enough credit for that. It makes me wonder just how many people there are in this country who can say they didn't eat crap today. Yuze a junk avoiding machine!
Mary
I didn't touch one thing that was sugar free, nor did I eat one thing off the Atkin's Induction menu. I had nothing but Atkin's Induction friendly food and I feel like I FINALLY had a good day.
I will be weighing myself in the morning (as I've done EVERY day this week) and with luck, a number will go down .1 or .2 for a teeny bit of motivation that I desperately need.
