WTF?

Okay....so I couldn't wait any longer and got on the scale yesterday morning (supposed to weigh in this morning) and was delighted to see that I'd lost 7lb this week!  Yeah me!!  Was wondering how I would do with all the carbs (even though they were all good ones). 

So get on the scale this morning for my official weigh in and I had gained 3lb!  WTF?  Must have been those two bowls of homemade bean soup I had for dinner last night!  I don't care, I'm claiming the 7lb, changed my ticker, and I'm sticking with it.  Guess I'll just claim the lowest weight I hit for the week.....works for me!

 LOL No worries Sherrie.  I'm here to testify on your behalf that those beans were filled with three pounds of hot air....you'll be back to a seven pound loss by the end of the day! Fart In Face

That is good that you lost 7lbs. Like Mary said I am sure that the effects of the soup will be gone tomarrow!!LOL You are doing good, your getting back on track and this important.

Twilight here, The next time you go, into your doctors office, to get weighed, weigh yourself at home 1st., ( keeping it a.m. to a.m. or p.m. to p.m.) then when you get his numbers, find out, if your scale number is higher or lower then his scale. Then when you weigh at home again later in the week you can add or subtract the difference from his scale, to yours and you will almost know what your official weight will be.
Also you will put on weight from morning to afternoon. ( I understand it's water weight.) I have learned in my travels with my scale at home that I will put on about (3)lbs from a.m to p.m. and even if I weigh myself to early in the morning I will weigh heavy( do not understand that one.) I have also learned If I weigh myself before I eat; that I can put on (3-6)lbs. depending on what I eat., when i weigh myself after the meal. Believe me you can make yourself crazy. I now only weigh myself once a week or officially once ever 5-6 weeks at the doctors. P.S. Beans will weigh heavy but they are a good colon cleanser especially Black beans! (for me.) Loaded with a lot of fiber!!   What does WTF mean? Well anyway that's my (2) cents worth.   Twilight

WTF?  What the....fill in the blank!

Twilight...I do always weigh the same time of day....first thing in the morning after I pee and in the buff!  I never get on the scale any other time....so I think it's pretty accurate.  I don't really care what my doctor's scale says cause I never get on that one in the nude (thank heavens).  I'm only accountable to my own.  I always weight 4-5lb more at the end of the day so never give that weight a moment's thought.

I'm sure it was the salt in the soup (and the carbs from the beans) that made the difference.  I'm really not too upset about it.  I'm just doing no flour, no sugar....so as long as I'm sticking to program I'm not gonna sweat the small stuff.  My goal is to stick to my plan for 6 whole weeks.  I have already gotten rid of my cravings and that's all that counts.

Thanks for the suggestion...I appreciate the thought.

Congrats Sherrie!!  Claim the 7 pounds and keep at it.  You're doing a great job and your menus look perfect; the scale will reflect that (sometimes it just takes awhile with fluid, etc.)

Yep...those 3lb were gone this morning...despite having another bowl of that dang soup for dinner last night!

Congrats Sherrie! The same thing happened to me today. Like you i was supposed to weigh in tonight however i just couldn't wait. I noticed a difference in my clothes just this week so i expected a 5 or 6 pound loss but i had lost 15 POUNDS!!! I was so happy i couldn't contain myself. However, tonight after a dinner of half a boiled chicken breast and a half cup of rice, i had only lost 10.  ??? I know it sounds stupid to be upset about a 10 pound lost but it was a bit disheartening. Hang in there though. I don't trip. It just means I'll have bigger numbers next week . Good luck on your journey.
