that doesnt have weight loss surgery?
Im trying to find out for my daughter who was asking me.  Any help would  be great, thanks.

My certified health coach advises .5 gm of protein per pound of body weight for a generally inactive person. It would go up as the activity and so forth increase. Oh - and he always clarifies that you will be aiming for the goal weight for your calculation rather than current weight if you have significant weight to release. In other words, I would consume 70 grams of protein daily (minimum) if shooting for a 140lb goal. Be sure, though, that the protein is digestible. I advise people to get a good digestive enzyme if they start to incorporate more animal proteins into their diet. Quite often we don't utilize the nutrition we are consuming due to a lack of digestion. In speaking with several nutrition experts, I have found the consensus is pretty much the same.
