Wonderful recipe Teriyaki orange chicken

1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast
1/2 Cup light soy sauce
1 12 oz can of diet orange soda
1 can crushed pineapple in its own juice
few splashes of teriyaki sauce

Preheat oven to 375
Mix soy sauce, pineapples and juice,soda and teriyaki in 9X13 baking pan and place chicken breast in sauce flip a few times and let set 30-60 mintues
bake at 375 for 20 minutes then flip cook for 20 more minutes or until fully cooked

It is AWESOME!!! My husband ate two peices and asked when I was making it again...so easy! Hope you enjoy!

Hi stac, that sounds yummy!! do you happen to know how many carbs is in that mess of yumminess?? I guess I'll have to figure it out myself... *sigh*


Ok, If  the net carb amounts I found are correct (went to atkins.com) and assuming  4 ckn breasts= 1lb then there will be 12 carbs in the entire dish and 3 carbs per breast. thats using these amounts:

1 lb ckn breasts
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 12 oz can diet orange soda
1/4 cup fresh pineapple (canned variety has WAY too many carbs!)
2 tbsp teriyaki sauce

not sure if it will turn out the same...but I think I'm gonna try it for dinner tomorrow!!!

I'm sure fresh pineapple would be fine but I would chop it up real good...mainly I just used it for the juice because it was 100% real pineapple juice. Its so yummy I'm excited for you to try it! let me know how it turns out!
