I'm proud that I made it through my Biggest Loser withdrawals and that the new shows start tomorrow night.

I Be So Happy! Wakka Wakka  Wakka Wakka Wakka Wakka

There is going to be a guy on who is supposed to be the biggest person ever to be on the ranch.  I just can't imagine how he is even going to make it because he has on an oxygen mask on while he is working out.  I hope for his sake that Jillian is not his trainer...she'll kill 'im.  And Neecee was worried about Ruby getting hurt!

I am so proud that I realized I have a serious food addiction and I'm taking the steps to overcome this. I did so well today and didn't think about chocolate once! I am really really proud of myself. On the biggest loser note I'm eager to see how he does too! Off to bed cna FINALLY sleep hopefully...my son is really sick

I'm so proud that you have to come to such an epiphany!  They say that admitting what your problem is, is the first step to healing.  Happy Healing.

You know, there are a lot of people who are of the opinion that you should be able to eat all things in moderation.  That is a great concept if you are not a food addict and have a great metabolism.  But for those who are true addicts, it doesn't make sense to me to continue to eat foods that are your sworn enemy.  My sworn enemies by name are Pepsi Cola and Bunny White Bread.  I am completely addicted to them and used to drink Pepsi instead of water.  How sick was I?  But I swore off of those two particular items and never looked back.  I ain't gonna lie and say it was easy, but the more you can turn your back on them, the easier it gets.  After seven years, I can honestly say that it doesn't even bother me one iota that I will never have that again.

I hope you can find it within yourself to Get R Done!

Hmmmm...you know I'm an "eat foods in moderation" gal but I definitely was a food addict and never thought I had a great metabolism (although I changed that with building muscle).  Chips, ice cream and mexican food were my vices but I can eat them in moderation and I never binge on them (TG, 'cuz the hell over the last year would have put me back at ~280 lbs)!
Maybe moderation won't work for me forever but it does now.  Our differences are what make us so special, I guess.

Well SugarButt, that's cuz youze special!  You have the fortitude of Mt. Everest.  Me, notso much.  I didn't trust myself to eat those things in moderation, besides, they had NOOOOO nutritional value, so they probably needed to go anyway.

And how the hell you can eat just a few bites of ice cream still boggles my mind.  How DO you eat just a few bites of ice cream.  Back in the day, a few bites wouldn't even have been worth opening the carton!  When I used to eat ice cream, it was a whole bowl with a side order of much guilt.

Girl, back in the day I'd eat more than a bowl of ice cream, more like a pint or quart of ice cream, with a lifetime worth of guilt thrown in.
I don't know HOW I do what I do.  If I did, I'd package it and sell it.   There's lots of willpower involved but it has to be more than that 'cuz willpower usually doesn't last for five years.   Dealing with the reasons I fed my feelings maybe?  Maybe it's temporary and won't be effective forever?  If so, I'll have to change.

Yep, maybe you dealt with your issues early on and got your emotional eating under control before you lost the weight.  Either that, or you were so competitive, and wanted to win that contest so bad, that you blew off food for another addiction, working out like a Trojan!  I'm thinking eating all of that chicken changed the way you looked at food?

Well I was already down about 90 pounds when I did the contest so I don't think that was it although competition is definitely a motivator for me.  Maybe it was the chicken?  or the hot yoga?  or that I finally got sick of ice cream ;-)? or I wanted to look hawt...hahaha!
You have as much willpower as I do - staying away from carbs.  I don't think I could do that indefinitely.
