Calories vs eating wholesome foods vs six times a day = confused.

You really let the scale dictate your mood, huh?  THose two pounds--not so bad--and maybe not because of what you ate.  Did you eat 7000 too many calories?  Didn't think so.  Ok, so it's water weight from crap food.  Easily dealt with.

And how do you deal with the normal fluctuations?  I go up and down constantly--that's normal.  I can hit a low and ride it back up before I hit a new low.  If I let the fluctuation upset me, I'd go nuts.  Not worth it.

Instead, I remember the nutritionist I met with saying her goal for me was maintenance of what I lost, not necessarily more weight loss, and if it came, then .5lb a week or so.  Why?  She wanted lasting weight loss.  So, when I plateau, I don't freak out.

We choose our moods.  Choose awareness and respond to the knowledge with an "okay" attitude, a shrug.  Choose it.

Your frustration is more in trying to find a diet that fits you.  Take that overthinking head of yours and say, ok, what has worked for me?  Customize a program if you need be.  (Frankly, the concept of programs has long worn off for me.  It's just so much easier to say, eat what God made in its most natural state and eat more veggies than proteins and carbs.)  Decide on the right number of calories.

Then go.  And just do it.  But while your doing it, go live the rest of your life!  Do you want to remember 2009 as the year that you obsessed so much about diet and weight that you didn't experience 2009?  Or do you want to remember other stuff.  I've personally been learning experiencing life is the greatest gift you can give yourself.  Go do it, Hol.
