its so upsetting
I'm with Trisha, I fell of the wagon. Right into 100 pounds of lard that stuck to me like glue. Living in a house with junk food is incredibly hard. Maybe you can ask for help from your mom by having her tuck the really bad stuff away and by stocking parts of the pantry with your own special stuff.
Last but not least: I think OA might be a good idea. Also, understanding cravings might help. I learned recently that food craving are usually driven by a combo of low blood sugar and a need to comfort ourselves emotionally, and they typically last 20 minutes or less.
My OB/GYN, who lost 130 lbs without surgery, suggested that I have a healthy snack to raise blood sugar and engage in an activity for 20 minutes, while telling myself that it will be there when the craving is over.
It worked for me today when Pizza entered our house and my lil internal food junkie started twitching and shrieking. I nuked a frozed diet Pizza and played a video game upstairs. After 20 minutes lil junkie shut up. I hope that this will work for the 170 lbs that are living with me against my will.
Good luck to you and the rest of us
