I post here sometimes and for those of you who have read my posts, you know that I really wanted to hit the 200 lb. lost mark by the end of 2008. Well I made it! I went to my WI at Weigh****cher's today and I was down 4.2 lbs. That was just enough for a total loss of -200.4! I'm so excited. I received a standing ovation at my meeting! It was such an amazing feeling. My life has changed so much over the last 3 years. I'm doing so many things that I never thought would be possible for me, and now, I'm dreaming of new things everyday that I want to accomplish.

Never give up your dreams. Never give up on your weight loss. It will happen, if you just stick with it!

I lost my weight with Weight Watcher's & Zumba. I've lost 302 lbs. You can visit my weight loss website at www.freewebs.com/infectiouslaughter
I'll be in the Jan. 2012 issue of People Magazine's "Half Their Weight" issue!!

Oh wow, you do deserve a standing ovation!  Congratulations on reaching your goal, what a wonderful feeling!  My dh and I just started WW online (again) last night.  Already we are fighting over the correct point value of something.  It's going to be a long haul!

Wow, that is just remarkable.  YOU DID IT!!!!!!!!!

OMG!!!  You awesome!  I have been attending for 2 years and have gained 20 pounds.  you are certainly an insrpiration for me.  I visited you web site, how wonderful.

I don't know how you kept yourself on program, I am miserable at it.  Do you have any helpful hints?  I weigh 274 and would like to lose about 140-150.  I was almost thinking I should just give up.  I am considering the Lap Band, but like you said, something inside keeps telling me I could do this with WW.  I would appreciate any ideas of what kept you following for so long.

Thanks for sharing with us!

Thank you very much everyone!

Cindy- I don't know what to tell you. Before Jan. 06  I had tried WW and many other diets, fads, etc. as well without much success.... at least long term.  I think the biggest difference for me this time was that I went to that first WW meeting with the understanding that I would be doing this for the rest of my life. I had finally realized that it wasn't going to be "after I get thin" anymore. I've learned from my WW friends (several of whom are WW Lifetimers) that maintence takes just as much effort as weight loss. I had always had this magical ideal of what life would be like at goal weight. I also stopped feeling sorry for myself and making excuses. I realized I made excuses for a lot of things. I wish I could give you the magic words to help you but honestly, knowing that I'm going to get on that scale each week and reminding myself of why I'm doing this in the first place, is what keeps me going. I make my weight loss a priority in my life. I always find time to journal, workout, and go online for support (message boards, e-mails, new recipes, etc.)

Good luck to you! I hope you find your Mojo and no matter what you decide to do (stick with WW or opt for the Lap Band) you'll have support from people here no matter what!

Thanks for the reply.  I think I am at the same point you were at, so hopefully I will make some progress.  There are also a lot of lifetimer's who I hang with at my meeting too.  I know this is a lifetime journey and I want to build healthier habits for life.  This isn't just for a short time period but forever...at least the rest of my life.

Thanks again,
Cindy
