B: Coffee w/half & half (2 carbs)
L: Chinese veggie soup (just chicken broth with vegetables) (2 carbs for the veggies)
    5 Chicken Wings 
S: 3/4 cup Shrimp & Mushrooms in brown sauce (2 carbs for the starch in the sauce)
D: Sausage Parmigiana (2 carbs for the tomato sauce - less then 1/4 cup)

Carbs: 8

I don't know.  When did I go off Atkin's?  I did for Thanksgiving.  Is that what you mean?

I meant the starch.  In Atkins speak, starch is the same as sugar and is sooooo not Atkins approved.

And the goal of Induction is to get the majority of your twenty carbs from vegetables and salads.  You my precious little guido are a bad bad girl and don't eat your veggiesNun Tsk TskAnd I'm shakin' this finger at Heather, too!

Mar - As long as my weight loss doesn't slow down to under 1 pound a week, I'll stick to my plan I've got going.  So far, I'm successful without depriving myself of simple things like sauces.  I'm happy with my current pace and menu.

Neen, you are doing great with your weight loss!  All I'm saying is that you can't call it Atkins.  It's a low carb Janina Diet...and Janina needs more vegetables in her diet!  I'm just sayin'.

Eh... I don't agree that unless you do a diet 110% exact, that you can't constitute the diet as being what you believe it to be.  It's one thing if I'm eating my 20 carbs a day in the form of half a donut.  It's another thing if I'm allowing 2 carbs worth of starch/sauce thickener on occasion. 

There's room for error in everything.  We'll have to agree to disagree, Mar.

Mary's probably gonna slap ME for this, , but I kinda agree with you Janina. I think you have to be almost obsessive compulsive to follow any diet to the exact letter. I'm more aware of what I put in my mouth, my carbs are aroun 20 carbs/day, and I'm eating more veggies than I usually do in a month (sad, but true) I've been avoiding sugar, carbs and I guess starches, but I'm not sure what the difference between starches and carbs is...arn't starches carbs?? Anyway....I'm following the Atkins plan as I am able, and it's still Atkins.

Hey Mary! don't go pickin on me now!!    I've been trying to eat more veggies!! I even had broccoli with dinner last night!!
