What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud? Biggest Loser Finale

I'm proud that I did all of my Christmas shopping today! Elf I also bought all of the stuff for my Christmas Eve party.  This is where things get a little hairy.  In the old days, I would eat a lot of all of that stuff and then have to go buy more. Blushy 2  This year, I refuse to overindulge for the holidays, so everybody say a little prayer that I can still fit in my clothes by the New Year!  Lord, help us all! Prayer

Tomorrow is the finale of the Biggest Loser, I'm so excited I'm standing here beside masself!  So who did you vote for, Heba or Ed?  I had mixed emotions cuz I want Michelle to win, so I tried to think of which one would be easier for Michelle to leave in her dust.  I hope Ed makes it into the finals cuz he just doesn't pull the numbers that Heba does.

Warning: If you don't want to know who won, don't read this post until after you've seen the finale.  In case you haven't noticed, I tend to get slightly emotional. Bouncy 5

I hope Vicky is at the doughnut shoppe, where Bob found her, pigging out and gaining weight as we speak!

It was a big toss between who to vote for.  Ed has played a game as much as Vicky in a sense of always pulling small numbers, he wants Heba to win.  I'm really wondering if he did this on purpose or not.  I remember Bob even once mentioning it.  So when he pleaded to the public to vote for Heba it almost seemed like a trick question to me.  But since he did pull the small numbers and he is a Chef (I'm wondering how he'll do with this type of profession), I voted for Ed.  Does this vote even count?  I mean, is it between all three finalists who win the big bucks, or is it just "third place"?  I'm a little confused on that.

I'm proud today that this morning I made my kids green smoothies and my son who is over weight and such a picky eater LOVED it!!!  I'm so happy I finally found one that he likes!  I'm sure in his smoothie this morning he ate two to three servingss of veggies, and a serving of fruit and even protein!

I'm also fuming today over the idea that my son has been eating other peoples snacks at lunch.  PLUS there is a "free table"!!!!!  Can you believe that?  After all the school districts talks about healthy eating and pack your kids lunch with healthy foods, there is a free table.  Now I'm unclear if it's in his class room or if it's in the cafeteria, but either way I'm fuming.  He brought home corn chips yesterday and found out from my daughter another kid always passes down donuts to him.    I've already been in a fight with the school nursre over crap like this.  I'm fighting for my kids life while they keep ******g up!  Excuse the language, but this just really ****** me off.  Here I keep thinking it's me and find out the school is letting this happen.

I know Ed is playing the game, but I truly don't think he puts his 'all' into the dieting effort.  When he was sent home, he only lost three pounds.  That's not exactly a lot for a guy his size.  And too, both he and Heba have the advantage of having the Biggest Loser meals delivered to their home.  Don't even get me started on that totally unfair challenge that they won that with.  His legs are so much longer than Michelle's, she would have had to run twice as fast to keep up with him!!!  Aaaaaargh

Good grief, I can't believe that school is contributing to the deliquency of a minor!  But I know you have to feel vindicated that it's not something that you are doing wrong.  You need to report this to the school board.  And just when you found something healthy that he likes....maaaan.

As some know, i work on schools.  The single most heard complaint form parents? My kid is still hungry. I swear to GAWD.

Sorry to say but most families would not recognize a healthy portion of food if they fell into it.

hol, all you can do is try to get to your child on why HE has to walk away from food. Take it from a binge/purger starting at age 12 ish, he will seek and score if he is driven to get food. I stole it from stores, other peoples homes...very deep issues can be present here. Let's pray this is not the case with your kid!!!!

I'm proud that I actually got outside and ran around playing in the snow with my dd (we got ~5" of snow on Sun...we usually only get 1-2 inches each winter...) even though I don't like being out in the snow. So I got some excersise and feel like a good momma for playin with the kiddie

Oh! and when I was getting ready to brave the 21 degree temp, I discovered that I could fit a pair of polar fleece sweats under my jeans...and the jeans were still loose!! Yay!  But my thighs still won't fit in my size smaller jeans...darn big thighs anyway!

I hear ya mary. Vicky is gonna get what comming to her. I hope she didnt lose, THEN she will look like an A S S, in front of everyone!!!!!  I feel that ed only wanted back on the show cause heba wanted him there for support!!! He isnt serious, or else he would be the #1 person for weight loss.  GGGRRRR I get so ticked off even thinking about that vicious vicky!!

Anyway, I am proud that I passed up homemade sugar cookies at my daughters christmas party at her school. Oh, man they were tempting, but I refused. Oh and I got on the scale today and lost another 2lbs, even though I gave in to some sweets on saturday oh, I payed. It isnt as much as I know I could have lost, but I have been back on the wagon for 2 days and I am happy!!!

I cannot vote cuz my heart has the intention of evil. I will leave it to the fates. Like you, I tend toward Ed, the big dummy who has not learned a darn thing. Even if he busts out thin, he WILL get fat again. So will heba & icky.  Icky WILL be back at the donut shop, buying that kid a tray of donuts, just cuz she loves her so much.

I will perish if either of three get elected.  Please psot it, i will read it ahead of time and get some sleep if they win! LOL

My proud:  NO candy from that pit called the breakrrom at work. Not. One. Bite.

Ed, the big dummy who has not learned a darn thing. ROTFL What a perfect description!  And Neecee, I don't care how evil you tried to be, you could never be as evil as that li'l blue trio of Bob's!!!

Geeze Girl, I don't know how you can work in a place with such a pit.  I'd still weigh 320 pounds!

I'm proud to be standing by hubby as we  move out of this retail store front and into our storage facility (1/3 the size, but WARM). Jan 6 is the 3rd anniversary of owning an appliance store. I've learned to test/repair dryers (not rocket science by any means), move refrigerators, and clean just about anything. We're refinancing our lives so we don't lose it all, downsizing our operation, and in general making super major changes. This will allow me to be home with little grandson when he's born (mama thinks she dropped her plug today), and have a bit of a life.

Today it's 20 degrees at best, and the glass crew just replaced 5 out of 8 windows - which makes up two walls of the store. If you can imagine how cold it is in here... my hands are purple. Our new facility is normal sized, meaning ceilings aren't 50 feet high, and is between two other offices, and under one. Translated this means with the heat OFF there it's far warmer than it's ever been here with the heat going full force.

I'll be putting up mini blinds and putting in carpet, doing some painting, and making a NICE little office-oid. The rest of the facility will be cement floor, but that's okay. Just give me warmth. I don't mind heavy physical labor, but when my feet feel like ice cubes and I'm wearing long johns, two shirts, a sweater, and a coat and I'm still freezing, we've got an unhappy mama.

Oh, in case any of you are feeling creative - we're looking for a new name. The name we took on when we bought the store is Discount Appliance Depot (peeeyew). Looking for something more catchy. Any great brains out there? Mary?

I'll also be having a blender and a hot and cold water dispenser so I can make and share shakes and soups on the spot! YEE HAW taking advantage of the situation. Thankfully, our revamped business plan allows for more "away from the store" time for both of us.

I swear my toes are frozen. Here's a look at the area near our store.

OMG, that's barbaric for you to have to work under such conditions!  And another thing, you are moving this store to the wrong location.  You need to pick one in the Bahamas.  Then you could name it Bahama Mama's Smokin' Hot Appliances.  And Bahama Mama is lookin' pretty damned good hasself!

Geeze, I hope you've warmed up by now. Warm By The Fire
