Whew! I'm finally BACK!!!
Can't say that I have donew great on the WL end of my life but I DID *FINALLY* get that baby dgd!!! She was born this last Friday at 8:11 a.m. and weighed 7 lbs 5 ozs. and is 19" long! They finally induced my dd and then she came so fast there wasn't even time for an epidural!
I am SO GLAD I was THERE! I learned a LOT about dd's BF that made me realize... she will need all the support she can get from US now! I was SHOCKED as I lerarned more and more about his personality :( Like... he laid on a little pull out chair for all but the last 2 hours of her labor :( He just pretended to be sleeping! We ALL knew he wasn't, but he would NOT budge! I saw him look up a few times and then he'd curl up in the blanket like a cacoon and stay that way!
Anyhow, that was a HUGE frustration for ME... and hurt for my dd :( But the baby is beautiful and my dd is doing GREAT!
I got home (after thinking I'd be there only a few days!) and realized... my house payment is not made... my CC bills are not paid... car payment etc. AND... I've NOT WORKED ONE DAY in Dec!!! Today is my first day back at work and that is with one less kiddo than normal as one mom got POed at me and pulled her kid! (guess I am suppose to be there more for HER child than I am for my own... WRONG!)
Hoping to get my butt back in the saddle FAST!

She is so cute! You must be so proud! Your dd did great, I'm glad to hear that they are all good, I was wondering what had happened. I'm sorry to hear that your dd bf isn't more supportive. If my bf had acted like that while I was in labor, I think I would have been throwing things at him!! Your dd is lucky she has you all for support!!

Congratulations, Grandma!! She's a doll. Glad it's all over for your daughter and she can now enjoy the little one. Hope the BF grows up soon.
DD's BF needs a Come to Jesus talk...omg, that is frustrating. I have much the same issues with one SIL, and for now, i just shut up - I don't want him or my DD to run me off away from the GS. I try to talk to my DD and lovingly point out how love "should" be.
But fuggetaboud HIM...what a beautiful baby girl!!!!! What is her name? i did not read the thread, so I will when I get out of here.
