Deep down.. I seriously want to be a meathead. yanno?  I want to get out there and ride my bike and get into the whole thing.  I just don't get it.  I like it but would rather sit on my arse.

That's cuz youze broke!  I'm reading about it right now and it may have something to do with low seratonin levels and your hypothalumus and pituitary gland and a whole bunch of other stuff.  Yikes!

you know, I do have a thyroid condition which is sometimes directly linked to the pituitary gland.  Send a link to what you're reading.

"But runner's high is actually a very cool feeling that happens when you've been running for an extended period of time (a few miles or kilometers for most people). It is when you get your "second wind" and the feeling that you can't keep going anymore is replaced with a light feeling that everything is possible if you keep moving and keep putting one food in front of another. Alright great, so everyone wants to experience the runner's high. But how?"

When I first start riding my bike it hurts like no tomorrow. My muscles burn and ache so bad.  After about 20 minutes of riding I suddenly get this feeling like as long as I stay at an even kill I can go forever. If I speed up to much then I get tired. It's hard to explain.  But if that's runner's high or the high you get after a good workout then I guess I experience it.  I don't feel all giddy, but I just feel like I can keep going.  NOthing about that motivates me though.

Well at least you get some sort of feeling out of it.  I'm ALWAYS just struggling to get through it, and I'm in pretty damned good shape!  The only thing that makes me feel good is that I finished!

But I know how we can motivate you.  You know how they put a fake rabbit in front of greyhounds to make them run?  We'll tie a Butterfinger to a pole and put it on the front of your bike and if you catch it, you can eat it!   Bike Riding  Candy Bar 2

lol toooo funny!

When I was reading on the runner's high last night they said you really had to push yourself hard in order to achieve it. Maybe I'm just not working hard enough? :)

I don't think that the average Joe reaches a runner's high.  But most people who workout reach a point that it makes them feel good, if that makes sense?  And that motivates them to do it again tomorrow...sans Butterfinger.

Maybe we just need to keep trying?  *sigh*

Umm..I just opened up my eyes and just sipping my first cup of Joe, but  you can actually get high off of exercising?  Is this just for those few little people around the world like Neceee and Jerz??lol  Hmmmmmmm  Why haven't I ever felt like that?
