I need words of wisdom.
Don'choo go bowing to me Missy, anybody who's idea of a meal is three crackers and some cheese is the 'Moderation Queen'! Your idea of moderation and mine are definitely not the same. Three crackers and some cheese would be the snack!
That's why I like Atkins. I get to eat. And it sets my boundaries for me. If I stayed on plan, I had a successful day, if I went off of plan, I failed that day. None of that, I'll try to do better tomorrow crap. It's either do or don't do. I spent too much of my life not knowing what was wrong with me, once I had a diagnosis, nothing else even made sense.
So did you eat your dessert, one bite of ice
cream!

Well I have to admit that my idea of moderation today is vastly different than my idea of moderation 5 years ago when I began my journey. Back then, a bowl of ice cream was moderate - and it was compared to a half gallon of ice cream. My idea of moderation today is one scoop or one bite of ice cream. Recognizing the change is important for two reasons - my weight is much lower now so a bite or scoop is not gonna cause weight fluctuation but a bowl might AND I dealt with the reasons that I stuffed my emotions with food so that need to stuff my feelings isn't there anymore, hence there's no need for a bowl or half gallon of whatever.
My journey wasn't easy and it didn't happen overnight. And I'm not perfect at it every day but because it's become a habit, a way of life, it IS easier than it was when I started.
