My weight loss surgery. May not happen 2008
Hello everyone. My name is edna. I wanted wls,but I may not be able to have my surgery I have hoped. But I am on a life change journey. I saw my surgeon nove 7th, I had gastric bypass 30 years ago. And i have alot of scar tissue. That may be impossible to get the surgery.the reasons are 1/100 death 1/50 complacations 1/50 hernia repair in the near future, and Blood transfuions. I really want to lose this weight, and will i have a choice, or do I choose it. and is this right for me. I am on a 1200 cal diet and i have lost 20lbs. I hope i don't get unmotived. and fail. Because i was diened the surgery. I am hoping for some support, and some new friends to help me through, my struggle of food. thank you all for. Reading my pleaNot to mention 6-8 hour operation.
WHAT I NEED MOST IS NEW FRIENDS AND SUPPORT LEFT BEFORE BECAUSE I WAS DENIED GASTRIC BYPASS BUT I;M STILL HOPING AND IS WAITING ON GOD'S APPROVAL

Hi Edna. I'm sorry to hear your news....It sounds like you're on the right track with your low-cal diet (my only concern would be that it's too low cal, don't want to put your body into starvation mode. but as long as it's doctor supervised, I'm sure its ok!) If you want support and friends, you've come to the right place, the people here are wonderful and encouraging!

Hey Edna...welcome to our little corner of OH. It's a great place to hang out and talk about weight loss. Plus anything else that we can't talk about with civilians (skinny people). We have a lot of fun over here so feel free to join in any time.
Sounds like you are doing great with your weight loss journey so far. And don't worry, we won't let you lose your motivation. We all fall off of the wagon ocassionally but then we get right back on it. Beth and I had to buy new wagons, cuz we wore ours out getting back on the damned things!

Hi Edna. I'm right there with you. I don't know if I am going to get my wls afterall. I want it more than anything so that I can be healthier for me and my son. I am trying to eat less calories and exercise more. It seems so easy to put the weight on and hard to take it off. You are on the right track. I'm trying to stay motivated too. Sometimes you feel like giving up but you can't. We want better lives and healthier lives for ourselves. Anytime you feel discouraged come on here and read other peoples stories like I have and you will get inspired. I tried doing the 1200 calories a day and it was too little and I got sick. Please be careful. Make sure your doctor recommends what calorie diet to be on. Remember to drink a lot of water. I drink so much I feel like I will float away, but drinking a lot of water will help you feel fuller and it helps your metabolism. Good luck!
