Weigh In...Week 1

Okay....so I know I was really "carbed up" for the two weeks I was on vacation prior to starting this WOE (way of eating), and I know I have "tons" to lose, but.......
I LOST FREAKIN' 10LB THIS WEEK AND 5 1/2" !!!!

I couldn't wait to get up this morning and get on that scale!  Now week two begins and the carbs are slowly re-introduced during weeks 2,3 and 4.  Supposedly weight loss isn't that great these weeks, but you keep losing inches....we'll see.  I'm just thankful to have the cravings gone and a WOE (way of life, actually) that I think will work for me.  I couldn't wait to change that ticker.

Off to the Y today...this isn't gonna work ongoing unless I finally get this old body moving.

Don't mean to be tooting my own horn,  but just had to share my good news.

Oh, Janina....that's WONDERFUL!!

It is really starting to come off now and you are doing so well.  I love your determination.  I don't think I could stick to Atkins like that, but more power to you girlfriend...you're doing it!!

We're just about at the same weight!  I saw the 250's for about 30 seconds a few months ago....breaking 260 is such a biggie for me.  We'll be there soon.

Thanks, Mary

First weeks are always easy for me on a plan and produce a big loss.  Now the hard part comes in sticking to it and getting my body moving!!  I'm one determined lady and time is running out for me.  I want to get this knee replacement done and have to lose weight before they'll do it.  I just can't tolerate not being able to do everything I used to and having to depend on others for help with yard work etc.  I used to be one of the crazies that LOVED mowing my lawn and kneeling in my flowerbeds weeding and such.  Haven't been able to do that all summer long.

The loss this week certainly gives me motivation for week 2!!

WOWZA!!!!

Dayem girl, ten whole pounds!  A whole bag of potatoes!! You are ROCKIN'!

Now if that isn't a self ego booster to help you through the next week I don't know what is.  Wow, that's fantastic.

Janina...good job on the three pounds!  Wow..is this a week to lose weight or what?

Feels good, Holly, but will feel better if next week shows a loss too.  My track record for stringing too good weeks together hasn't been so swift lately.

Congratulations on your loss too this week, in spite of all the craziness at your house.  Way to go!!

How did you do it? Congats. I lost 1 3/4 pounds this week and I am ok with that. The most I have lost in a week is 7 1/2 pounds, but no matter what the scale says as long as the numbers are going down then I am happy!

I'm doing Wendy Chant's "Crack the Fat-Loss Code".  If you look on the 11/11 "What did you eat today" post, you'll see an explanation of the program.

Nothing wrong with 1 3/4lb....I'll be happy with that next week!!
