I have been shopping All Day Looooong!  I'm proud that I didn't eat junk everytime my sister and my niece did, and my only splurge was an iced frappaccino at Starbuck's. Thumbs Up

YUM!! I had an iced frap the other day for the first time in a long time and it was fab-u-lous!  I hope you enjoyed yours as much as I enjoyed mine.

I finally have hope...for the first time in a long time.

Give Dr. W a big kiss tomorrow from me and Trix.   Big Hug We love him and we don't even know him!  Anybody who can get you healed up and make you look fab is our kind of man.

Life is an amazing thing.  One day you are sitting there with no hope, and then the next day you have a great future ahead of you.  Ain't it great that life only sucks 'sometimes'!

Shopping....sounds like more fun than my day.  I spend two days/week caring for an Alzheimer's patient.  Today I thought the little men in white coats were gonna come get me.  She is obsessed with picking up every leaf and twig in the driveway (it's Fall in the Northeast and there's lots of them) and today decided to pick up all those in the road also.  She has no sense of danger and can get quite combative if forced to do something so I was out there with a broom, sweeping the leaves out of the road into the gutter so she would at least be out of danger.  The neighbors must have thought I was nuts!!

On a positive note though, I packed all my food for the day and stayed on plan....Day 3.  No cravings today...yippee!

Bless your heart, sweeping the road like you wuz nutz...good thing they're not YOUR neighbors!

I say if you can make it to day 3 without seriously hurting someone, then it gets a lot better.  Congratulations on getting back to your plan. Clapping Hands It ain't easy, trust me, I know!

That's the funny part....they ARE my neighbors.  She just lives 3 houses around the corner!!!  I felt like wearing a sandwich board that said..."I'm not the one with Alzheimer's".

That is such a sad disease...she is 62 (same age as me come 11/24) and has had the disease for several years...just been diagnosed as "severe".

I have to hand it to ya Sherrie,  your a marvelous person.  I use to love going to clients homes and talk to them (when they would actually talk to me).  I can only wish I can get into another job like I had, because I really loved it.  There's nothing more rewarding than helping someone be  more independent in their environment.

Today hmm..I made my eight year old daughters day.  Today at her school they were giving awards to some of the kids.  She was one of the chosen ones.  I've been to these before and you have to sit and wait to hear about three grades worth of kids getting awards during an assembly.  So I REALLY didn't want to go.  She asked me this morning if I was going to go.  I told her "but it's just a piece of paper".  That was the WRONG thing to say to her.haha  (Have I ever said I am NOT a morning person?).  She snapped back and told me "it's not a piece of paper, it's an award!".  So I felt guilty and I went.  Yea..call me a bad parent.lol  But I really iddn't want to go!lol  So I was proud I did the right thing and made her happy.  She's really too cute for her own britches.  She got an award in gym!  My daughter, my blood!ha  First child of mine out of four kids that actually likes gym!  She was the only one in her class that got that award from the gym teacher so I was very proud of her.

Other than that, I thought I did pretty well in the eating department.  Eating 1200 calories a day is a lot harder than I remember it being.  After dinner I'm starving!  My husband isn't really following it, although he thinks he is.  Dieting really sucks.lol  Where is that miracle pill!!!!!hehe

Oooh...I'm glad you went, Holly!  Hope you also told her how proud of her you are that she's lovin the active lifestyle!  If I had been more active in my youth (or now), I don't think weight would have been such a problem.

You're hanging in there, girl with those calorie restrictions!  I would suggest you're not eating enough protein in you're so hungry after dinner...try saving a piece of cheese or some cottage cheese or a glass of milk for the evening with a nice cup of hot tea (if you like it).

Last night I had an Atkins dark chocolate royale protein shake warmed in the microwave with a splash of almond extract and Reddi Whip on top....tasted just like hot chocolate (actually better than any hot chocolate I've ever had).....******IC!!    That's gonna be my evening treat all this winter!  (Satisfied those chocolate cravings...SO hopes it doesn't satisfy any other cravings)

Sherrie, God LOVE you. I would so not be able to do that type of job. Thank God for you.

Hey, all the times we go off plan, you have to admit, even screwing up as much as many of us do, we are still better off this way? You can honestly say in the past time period, you have lost or kept it off, right?

I admire you and your willingness to keep coming back and doing this self eval. All we can do, amybe one day it will stick! More seems to stick to us, does it not?

Thanks, Neecee.

I get upset with myself cause the choice to take this weight off once and for all is all mine.  Everytime I choose to stick something sinful in my mouth for <30seconds worth of pleasure....I am making that choice over eating healthy and losing this weight.  I hope it's clicked this time.

I know this plan (Wendy Chant's Crack the Fat Loss Code) is definitely the answer for me....I just have to stick with it.  I am definitely carb sensitive and this program teaches my body how to go to the fat stores for glycogen when I'm "carbing down", but gives me the leeway of a couple of "carb up" days/week  and eventually in maintenance a "cheat day".  The body by that time (weeks 7 and 8) knows how to respond to that and there are no cravings.  I know it's something I can stick to life long.....even allows for the holidays (carb deplete before and after a holiday with no restrictions on the holiday).

I am so determined this time...but then it's only day 4!!    The last time I only did it for 3 weeks and then just stopped....no good reason.
I am getting back to the Y next week also...exercise isn't recommended in the first week when you're doing the carb deplete.  Again, it's a choice and I just have to do it!!  The years are passing by way to quickly and I want to see my grandkids grow up!!
