Abstinence - 204th Day
Today I weighed myself this early morning, and I have lost 3.5 pounds this past month! Oh joy! That means that I'm doing something right, and that I don't have to make any further changes this coming month. My changes were that I gave up whole wheat pita bread, dried fruit, and soy yogurt for lunch, and candy on Saturday nights, when I watched DVDs or movies. These changes have brought about a considerable weight loss, so I'm very, very happy!
Breakfast
1 banana
1 whole grain English muffin with margarine
1/2 cup scrambled egg substitute
1 cup fat free soy milk
1 cup hazelnut coffee
2 cups water
Lunch
Small apple pancake
Small potato cake
2 small turkey sausage patties
5 cooked apricots
2 cups water
Dinner (celebrating my birthday at Hibachi Japanese Steakhouse tonight!)
Small glass plum wine
Small ginger ale or flavored ice tea
Bowl of Japanese onion soup
Small salad with ginger dressing
Small shrimp appetizer (2 or 3 grilled shrimp)
Medium portion of steak chunks, grilled to perfection on an open grill in front of me
Grilled brown rice
Grilled Japanese veggies
Sauces to dip things in
Movie snack (after dinner)
Small bag of theater popcorn
Small bottle of water
I am doing everything to keep my abstinence, even when celebrating my birthday. Usually, I order three types of protein at Hibachi (steak, chicken, & shrimp) and 2 spring rolls with sauce. But this year, I am only ordering steak, and no spring rolls, so I don't overeat. Ain't it wonderful, how I've changed?!
