What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud?

  Happy Halloween, Ya'll!  We live out in the country so the only trick or treaters we have are our grand nieces and nephews.  I'm proud to say that the little darlings    just left and took all of that evil, scary candy with them!  So my proud is that I didn't eat any of it!!!  My secret, I bought the kind that I don't like.  Geeze, brownies Wednesday and candy today...these young'uns are trying to make me fat again!

I hear ya Mar..   I never bought baby ruths after the year I figured out I couldn't just walk by 'em .. lol

I have no trick or treaters out here in the sticks...  I didn't buy any candy. 

I never could just walk by a Baby Ruth, either!  I remember once when we lived in the 'burbs going to buy all new candy the day of Halloween because I had eaten all of the candy from the week before!  I blame that on my Daddy.  He used to buy us bags of candy at a time and we had NO restrictions.  I'm amazed I still have my original teeth!

We participated in the patient Halloween event at the pediatric hospital where I work.  We have lots of various activities for the children (no candy) and our department dressed up as Toy Story characters and we took pics with the children and then printed the pics for them and helped them decorate a Halloween frame for their pictures.  I was sick when everyone ordered costumes so I just wore black and orange and was the designated photographer.
Several people who I work with came up to me and told me they didn't recognize me and I was so stumped because I wasn't wearing a costume so I finally asked one of them why they didn't recognize me and they told me it's because I was so small.  I'm NOT small but it felt good to hear it.

It sounds like you were in costume to me.  You went as those taffy candies that come in orange and black wrappers!  OK, now we really need to stop talkin' bout candy
