Nutrisystem?
I did nutrisystem back in the 80s. I lost about 50 pounds in 4 months. But as soon as I stopped eating their food I packed it all back on.
Quite honestly, you can probably achieve the same results buy just buying smart ones or WW frozen meals and some cereal bars for breakfast. ... and save yourself a ton of money.
I've tried it, and hated it also. Be aware if you have any kind of heartburn issues this food might cause you lots of discomfort. Plus it tasted NASTY!!!!! I suggest if your serious about it, buy just a few samples off of ebay first. I wish I did that instead of getting a whole box sent to me and wasting lots of money.
Good luck
And forget about making a habit of eating most of the frozen entrees like Smart Ones and Lean Cuisine - the sodium can be deadly AND weight stalling. Having a frozen lunch a couple of times of week would be okay BUT all meals as some sort of boxed food diet will kill you.
Try Weigh****chers!!! It's very important to search until you find the right meeting for you. Weighing and measuring food, writing down everything you bite and using the point system is a great way to keep accountable. It helps to have to weigh in every week so much.
Good Luck to you. You CAN do anything you set your mind to, plan, and take action to.
This Sat, I'm determined to hit my 50lbs at WW (joined Feb 2008 when struggling really hard with my Lap Band). I want my gold coin!!!

Hunger - hmmmmmmmmmm I have incredibly serious issues with hunger when I have no restriction with my band (it's like I've never had surgery at all). With restriction, I am helped greatly with hunger issues. I too am helping myself so much by choosing healthy foods that nourish me.
There are foods that can help you with hunger, foods with high fiber and protein. Almonds are excellent! All of the "white stuff" makes you obsess for more because your body processes it so quickly (burst of insulin is released from your pancreas, remaining sugar is stored as fat - your body gets hungry again because of dropping glucose levels). Good whole foods (stuff from the earth (brown rice, brown breads, brown pasta, fruits and veggies)- mostly NOT manipulated by man) are the best foods for you. They keep your glucose levels in control.
You can try a WW meeting for free AND maybe you can keep trying them for free at different locations??? I don't know if different locations share information. But I would try a meeting for free and if I like it, join up when they have free registration.
Good Luck to you,
Leila
I'm"sort of" on WW online. I've done it a million times in the past. I just had to write ya again because I do not believe someone would say that they were hungry on it. YOU get to figure out how you want to spend your points everyday. That can mean a LOT of food in volume if you really plan well. Either that or the Core program where there is no limits, you just eat until you are satisfied. They are both really good programs.
I live in Anchorage also by the way. :) I use to go to the meetings in midtown, but I never really found one I really loved. If you happen to go and find a leader you highly recommend please let me know, as I've often thought of going again since the rate of success is so much higher if you attend the meetings.
Good luck!
