Holly,
this is the guy I see in Anchorage http://www.comprehensivemedicine.net/  he's right across from the Diamond mall, right by value village.   He's a naturopath, but has a licensing physician that is licensed in his facility... or something like that, so my insurance covered him.   I had to pay him and then file myself, but they paid him (and I had ****ty insurance).

I really really love him.  He's taken care of my thyroid issues, done some vit. C IV therapy that put my immune system back on this planet (I should go see him now!.. except I don't even have ****ty insurance right now).  He's taken care of my daughters food allergy/gut healing treatment, as well as her vaccine exemption (she had a severe reaction).  I really do love him.

I will admit though... I hit a depression that naturals just couldn't bring me out of.  I went on zoloft for 4 months.  I was sick as a dog when I started taking it, but after a few weeks it was over.   It basically cntl, alt, deleted my brain and I've not needed it since (that was over 2 years ago).

Holly,
Sometimes it takes several trys to get the drug or drug combination that will work for you.  It took 6 rounds before they found one that worked for me, then two years latter I hit menopase and zap it didn't work for me so round we went again.  I had bad reactions to the most popular drugs so I am on a combonation of drugs now and have been stable for almost 10 years.  I know for me I tryed all the natural remidies and they didn't work for me.  But thank God I had a shrink that stayed with me and while he was working on meds I went to weekly counciling.

I know that most anti-depressents show weight gain as a side effect, but face it when we are depressed we don'****ch our diets like we should either.  So how much is the med. and how much is the diet I really don't know.  I know I did not get to 300 lbs because of medication, I could lie to myself and say I did but really it was more my car window that got me here.  If my car window would have broken I wouldn't be where I am today.

Go back try again until you find something that will work for you.  Ask to get a week supply at a time so that if it doesn't agree with you, you are not out as much money, that is what they did with me after the second med didn't work for me.  Please your mental heath is too important to let go.  I'm sorry I don't know you, but keep up the good work of trying to get better.

along those lines.. maybe ask your doc for samples of any future medication trials.  They always get them, and you mind as well try them out free... versus pay for them AND ER bills.

I took Cymbalta for several weeks, which just justed me into a zombie, I was so tired, I ended up stopping (after consulting my dr) and have been taking a pill called 5HTP, bought it at Walgreens, I think that it has been 'taking the edge' off, so it is helping but just maybe not completely getting rid of all of the problems
