Anyone interested in forming a personal WeightLoss Support Group?
and still gained another 15lbs
I've read many posts of ppl helping ppl..
If anyone wants to join me in forming a small group of a few ppl to support one another
with making up meal plans and have a buddy system going plz let me know...
I have free long distance so calling isn't a problem...
I feel alone in my battle to lose weight since most of my family and friends are thin and don't understand how hard it is for me to break free of foods I love since childhood.... maybe it's because my momma passed away a few years ago and most of my 80lbs came from there..
I'm self cautious to go out and go to the gym since I don't have a car.....
I have type2 diabetes and I've looked into WLS.....but the whole thing still scares me!!
I was hoping to make one last try but I feel I can't make it alone...
Does anyone want a buddy to help in this journey for even a few months to get the weight loss ball started? I have failed in WW, Atkins, south beach and even a dietitian's food plan that told me I ate too little but what I ate was all wrong lol...
if there are a few wanting to join together then I think its a wider group of support for eachone of us......

I am not sure exactly how (eating wise) I'm gonna do this. For now, I'm just trying not to overeat and exercising. I posted a thread asking what successful losers did to lose their weight. I tend to get freaked out about doing a "plan". So for now I'm just gonna try not to overeat and hope that I can make it work. The bottom line, I will learn to stop binging.
I know we can all help each other in this journey.

Well as for a food plan about 9 yrs ago I did lose 60 lbs in 5 months from a plan similar to LA diet and WW south beach.....but the cost of going every week was costly$ then in a few years I put it back on lol.
In this plan you have to eat about 900 cals a day but you have a grace day usually mine was Sunday where you eat what you crave but you have to measure it and only half....
after time my Sunday was just like the rest of the week since the weight was coming off fast..
there are mini goals too .. like for every 10 lbs loss is to do something special for yourself sorta like a reward system this way with a few mini goals..... they become BIG goals achieved
you can only weight in once a week mine was on a Monday....
the goal was 2-3 lbs a week...
you must exercise 30 mins a day though ...you can start after losing 20 lbs ....
To make your plan you eat the foods you like but....
you can make choices. for eg
2 eggs or 1 egg and I slice of bacon ......1 sl ww tst or 1/4 bagel
you can have 2cups leaf vegs and 1 cup cooked vegs a day split
MY food plan looked like this
breakfast
1/2 c yogurt and a boiled egg
lunches were
clear soup and tossed salad with slice chicken and cheese
Dinners were
meat of fish with cooked vegs and a starch
free snacks were
sf jello or vegs of any type except corn
what you need to do is write down all the food you like and would eat but making categories
choices breakfasts,lunches and dinners,,,
I think since I'm taking the courage to write how I feel ,I'm mentally saying I'm going to make this try to start again and give myself till NOV 20 to see the results...And I have witnesses lol

The big Plus though is having others sharing with each other the ups and downs just to get through a day, week, month of daily stress..time goes by faster and sometimes we just need to vent them carry on..
there are great recipes too that We can share etc...

We have all felt like failures, but in my mind, to fail does not mean you cannot do this, it only means you could not do _____ just then. I urge you to re-try all of the above plans you mentioned. You may be more ready to follow certain points better now, then again, maybe not. I think the point is to try!
You will sort the fruits from the nuts in short time, and begin to gravitate toward folks who think like you do.
I'm with Mary, join in the what we ate, what we did to make ourselves proud threads. Read a lot, never know who will ring true with you and for you!
