Calling all successful losers!
Ummm...I'm embarrassed to say that it took me six YEARS to lose 129 pounds. But I have extreme PCOS that went undiagnosed for years, and I gained over a hundred pounds in one year, so technically I'm proud that I didn't just keep gaining for no reason. I would lose three and gain two, so don't go by how long it took me. Apparently, I'm special. And I'm very sensitive to carbs so I don't eat more than thirty in one day, if I reach that many. But again, it's becasue I'm so freakin' special, damnit!

Mary's Butt. All bow before Mary's Butt. Laurels indeed!
I am doing the butt squeeze every single day, girlfriend. I also just remembered something I'd learned a LONG time ago and forgot. I also squeeze the buns with every step I take on a brisk walk with hubby around the neighborhood. It really bumps up the effectiveness of a walk.
When I was actively losing weight, it was my main focus. But I never counted calories. I believe in nutritional cleansing. JG may disagree, but since I've seen well over 100 people lose well over 100 pounds, and successfully keep if off for years, I'm gonna have to call on the tangible evidence. It's documented.
Now we choose health in our foods, our activities, our cleaning products, our body wash and shampoos, our cosmetics, etc. Now that we know what a toll toxins take on our bodies, we avoid all we can, and cleanse out what we can't avoid. Our proof is in the mirror, on the scale, and in the blood work. Two insurance agents have flipped over my blood test results. I'm way too healthy for a gramma.

I started at 320 and am below 260 now. I can't wing it. Winging it IMO makes it too easy to be swayed by things that were a problem for you before.
I plan my activity (9-12 hours working out/week), the types of activity, my diet, my meals, my calories, everything.
When I stop planning, I stop losing.

I agree, JG. When I mentioned that I "winged" it, I meant that when I was fat and wanting to get my weight off, I didn't start with a particular plan (eg, Atkins, WW, etc.) but instead I created my own plan based on what I could follow the rest of my life.
I plan my meals and workouts; and whether or not I'm going to eat out; or whether or not a latte is worth the calories, depending on what I've eaten, etc. I don't stuff my face all day, everyday anymore because that is not in my plan for life.
