Here's my last 4 days for my old friends who wonder how I am faring....

A four day foodee tour of New England/Quebec, starring me and the crazy RNYer I call the Sig Ot. Now I *do not* suggest this sort of business for new post-op, or even graduates-- it's kind of silly trying to eat everything you want for four straight days-- but it's always been part of my post RNY vision-- that on vacation, I'd do and eat the stuff I otherwise avoid. I went wayyyy the hell overboard as I had been storing up a list of wants for about 18 months, but it's probably not as bad as it reads-- some things I just had a smidge, dot or dollop of, and I didn't really push the volume limits-- just lots of tiny tastes for a few days.

Enough of the yakking-- here's the deal!

Wednesday PM
1 White Castle slider (ditched the bun)
96% Fat Free Frozen Yogurt on the Turnpike (I had too much of this, lesson learned!)
Late night- hash, an egg, and wheat toast with real butter. Nom nom butter nom!

Thursday-
1/2 a mini bagel with cream cheese
mini banana nut muffin
Sampled two sauces at Yankee Candle Store (raspberry and apricot) and bought a gazillion votive candles
Burmont's Sugar Orchard- tasted three grades of syrup and had a delciously melty maple candy and piece of Cabot cheddar
Half a chocolate Macaroon at an antique shoppe
A bite of a Snickers Bar
Vermont Country Store-- I swear to you, I bought nothing but did have samples of the following (FREE!): Summer sausage, pepperoni, 8 different cheddars, 4 dips and spreads, sugared puffed corn, penuche and pumpkin fudges, apple butter
Turkey Jerky and cheddar protein chex mix (needed more protein after that sugar madness)
A bit of steak, mushrooms and corn, a piece of a pork quesadilla, maple creme brulee, bite of bread
SF Hot Cocoa with SF marshmallow pumpkin in it
(The review of the day-- wayyy too much cheese, and overfull at dinner, but wayyy tasty)

Friday-
Farmer's Diner in Quechee- 1/2 pancake, 1.5 maple sausage links, 2 bites egg
Cabot Cheese Store- 5 cheese samples, 2 dips, some popcorn
King Arthur Flour-- This is the OH MY GOD one, peeps. Bought a ham and cheese croissant, a chocolate macaroon, and a big flourless chocolate cookie-- and we shared them until they were gone (this did take us a couple hours, though)
Health Food Store- a handful of trail mix and a Lindor truffle
Shelbourne, Quebec-- We split a great squeaky authentic plate of poutine au poulet (didn't eat much of the fries, but we finished off all the chicken and curds!) then split a maple cream Canadienne donut at Tim Horton's. And for irony's sake-- a bit later I had a Diet Coke-- first and only soda in 18 months...wasn't very exciting.

1/2 berry Wonderslim bar
Fire Stones Restaurant in Quechee VT- Brie with mushroom soup and two slices of flatbread pizza (with sausage), and split a slice of apple pie
Half a honeycrisp apple
Late snack- split piece of baby spice cake with cream cheese icing (OMFG) from Maple Grove Bakery and had a cup of SF white chocolate cocoa that was amazing

Saturday-
Farmer's Diner in Quechee- Had corn nuggets in maple barbecue sauce and bacon
Cabot Store again-- more cheese samples, wine sample, wine jelly tasting
Woodstock, VT- Split three pieces of amazing handmade chocolate from Wm.Winand-- a delicate Pistache macaron, a dark chocolate whipped caramel ganache, and an espresso du chocolat piece for Sig Ot

Harvest Festival-- Split a heavy bowl of homemade apple crisp with whipped cream (OMG!)

Sugarbush Farm- Sampled several cheeses (cheddars and a bleu) and mustards, had a maple sugar drop candy, a peanut butter buckeye, and bought two great looking cheddars-- extra sharp

Sampled honey roasted nuts at a Gen'l store
Bought a tiny cheesecake at Maple Grove and split it

Had a hazelnut and milk chocolate truffles from the Lindor outlet
Dinner at "Ninety Nine"- a cup of french onion and a half a chicken and honey mustard salad
Piece of maple sugar candy
****Inexplicably had half a baby chocolate cake and 2 pieces leftover pizza and literally went comatose here....Sig Ot couldn't wake me up-- I had a literal carb coma. This was my one stupidest move.****

Sunday-
Hair of the dog-- I ate the rest of the chocolate cake
Bellows Falls Diner--- had 1 blueberry pancake with maple syrup, one sausage patty, toast with peanut butter

Samples of cheese and wine on the road
Kiddie sized sf ff Raspberry Ice Cream
Part of an order of chicken nachos, half a burger (ditched the bun)
Kiddie sized Dulce de leche yogurt (SF /FF) at TCBY
...and realized I hadn't had a caramel apple, so I made one at 11:30 last night and ate it. And with that, I retired my ridiculous food-crammed lost weekend! :)

P.S. Yeah...I know..."What do I weigh?" I dunno. But SigOt lost 4 pounds! ;)
