Question for everyone

Ok so Im kinda new to this whole thing and have heard people talking about a pouch test. What is a pouch test?

A pouch test is done for RNY patients.  Has nothing to do with non-surgery weight loss.

yup, like Neen says, for WLS surgery peeps who get a new stomach made by the RnY procedure.  Its purpose is to check that no stomach juices get into the old sealed off part of the stomach.

Stomach juices. Sounds really ... juicy. Ew. Hubby made a funny the other day. He said "Aren't highly acidic people marinading themselves?" I had to agree. I said "Yeah! Acid breaks down meat fibers." Our daughter thought it was so funny she posted it on her MySpace as the "quote of the day".

I like my old stomach.
