long time, no read
hi guys!
sorry i have been absent. things are just so nutty i don't have time to be on the boards much anymore. its great to see how many regular participants there are here. crista - so proud of you girl!
i am settled back in DC and busy remodeling my condo, which naturally is taking forever just to get rolling. its so nice not to be stressed by school or work, but i have to admit i'm starting to get a little bored. too bad that mental health is not a priority in these stressful times - no one seems to be hiring...
i have had some trouble re-establishing a training relationship (the trainer i was with for about 3 years left DC at the same time i did last year). the first person i was with was not a good match (she told me that she needs to have clients who "need" her and who want to change their lives in huge ways. i told her been there, done that, i don't think your training clients should have to fulfill your emotional needs via a training relationship). spoke with another trainer who only does 1/2 hour sessions, which i don't like. so now i'm on the lookout again. i have also been playing tennis some and going to some step classes, which has helped as far as variety. i'm kinda burnt out on gym cardio.
anyway still just keeping on keeping on with maintenance. blah!
hope everyone is doing great!
Hi Andy, glad to see you back. Oh I'm so jealous of you remodeling your place. I dying to get some work done around my place. Hang in there with the job hunt, it's tough out there! I've been looking also, I'm so burnt out on interviews. Heck, you would have one client if you were here in Alaska! :)
Hope your trainer hunt goes well for ya. You sound like a girl who knows what she wants, I'm sure you'll find one soon. It sort of amazes me after reading what you said on how picky some of these trainers are. I mean, they are there to help their client's aren't they? You would think so. What happened to give the customer what they want? I never thought they were so picky.
I still have not read your thesis in its entirety! I want to read more on your references. Life is too busy for all of us. I dream of writing a grant one day to do work on obesity. How fun would that be.
Yup, me too, playing with the same damnable 5#. I am pretty happy though, not bored, just not exactly busting out with new fresh approaches.
Always nice to see ya. Stick your head in once in a while.
