I haven't had time to read all of the history on this forum, but I wanted to jump in and say hi. I was on the WLS bandwagon for almost two years, and just THIS MORNING cancelled my appointment with a new surgeon after being denied twice by my insurance for another WLS (Long story).  Anyway, my PCP convinced me to try it without WLS one more time, so this is it. I have seen that it can be successful, but I would like for you to point me in the right direction. This looks like a dedicated group.............may I join you??????

You're very welcome here on our board.  We're all doing different diets and different workouts (or like me, none at all) so I'm sure you'll be able to find someone to relate to.

What kind of diet are you on?  Have you even chosen one yet?

Best of luck to you!!!

Hi clickersis! jump on in anywhere. Like Neen says, we are all over the map with good results usually. Not that any of us has it easy!

Tell us more about you!

Hey, thanks for the response! I haven't really decided on a plan yet, but I'm counting calories until I do. It will probably be a South Beach type plan but not in the first phase.  Right now my goal is to jump on my rebounder every day and eat 1200-1400 calories. So for right now I'm keeping it simple. Talk soon!

Welcome to the whacko corner. I am constantly impressed at the dedication these people (mostly ladies) have to their health and bodies. There's that number on the scale aspect, sure, but that's a way to judge progress.

South Beach sounds good, and Dr. Barry Sears Zone eating systems (gosh, I just don't like the word diet) also are based on sound concepts, IMO.

The rebounder is a GREAT idea, and there is a wonderful thing that happens in your body with bouncing to do with the lymph nodes helping move things along. I was sorry I sold ours before our move to Seattle, but this little house has NO room.

Welcome to the forum. We should be posting butt contest pictures here in a few weeks. You'll want to watch for that, I'm sure.

Clicker.. c'monnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn down!

Step right up and join in the crazies!  We're here...  we're workin' it;... we have our good days, our bad days.... some beginners, some experts.  I think of us like this.. we might all be in different boats.... but we're ALL rowing in the same direction!

I think Janina's daily menu thing is a great place to start.  It helps me keep an eye on what I'm eating cause it can get away from me so easily without even realizing it.

Pick a do and get 'er done, darlin'..   I read that you were going to go South Beach.. ya got some exercise in mind.. great.  No time to start like right now!!!!!

Welcome aboard!!!!

God be with you!!

Welcome to our own little corner of OH.  We have a lot of fun over here and sometimes we actually take time to dispense some pretty good advice!

Like I always say, when you've been turned down for WLS, it's God's way of telling you that you can do this on your own without getting your guts rerouted.  South Beach is a pretty good plan, Donna lost almost two hundred pounds on it, and I think it's one of the easier plans to stay on.

We look dedicated?  OH sure...yeah, yeah, dedicated.  Very Confused  Well, MOST of the time!
