i met a girl at the football game (she is actually a woman - the mother of three)
her name is karen - she told me that she lost 135 pounds in a year by eating 100 calories at the top of every hour - i thought "what a great idea - i wonder why i never thought of that" she told me that God told her to do it and to pray over her food every time - so, she did
and she lost all of her extra wt and has kept it off for two years
she went from 270 to 135
wow!
my husband overheard the conversations so, he took his calorie goal (1900) and divided it up by his number of waking hours and he is eating something like 150 calories (i guess he gets more cuz he is a man) and is doing well, he has lost about 7 pounds in the past ten days - since we talked with karen
he says that he is never hungry and that he feels more energetic and satisfied than he ever has on a "diet"
the cool think is - that over the past 10 days he has found tons of things to eat

so, i thought i would just share

Wow!  Amazing job for you & your friend!

I sort of did that same type of thing to lose my most recent 40# - ate a high protein snack every couple hours, stuck to around 150 cals each snack.  I use bariatric snacks mostly for this. I also work in some high fiber & veggies/a bit of fruit with snacks later in the day. The difference is I ate supper.

Now I am at a lull in the game - stuck here at my usual bewitching weight, the same place I tend to get to and stop.

So, to do it your way would mean no suppers...hmmmm even if i could do that some days it may help break this plateau i am on. Are eating any typical meals as you maintain - or are you in maintenance yet?

i usually have a 60 calorie protien thingy (like juice ) every morning about 5 and then eat a banana on the way to work
then i have an egg and cheese around 830
then around 11 i have some soup or something else like fruit and cheese -
around 2 or 230 i usually have a chalupa or a taco or something like that - depending - i really like frozen eggrolls - sometimes i eat a half of a ham and cheese sandwich or a kashi bar
then around 5 or so i eat about 1/2 to 1 cup of whatever we are having for supper
and usually a snack size snicker or butter finger
then around 8 i have a yogurt
and sometimes i have another one of my protien things (60 cals)

i probably should increase my protien
i hadnt really noticed how low my protien intake looks until i read back what i just typed

good luck with breaking that "setpoint" or whatever they call it - i hate that "place" even though i had RNY i still have it - it is just much lower than it used to be!  =)

Hey Kim...what a great idea for weight loss, thank you for sharing.  I think it's similar to how I gained my weight...only I ate about three hundred calories every hour! ROTFL  

Are you getting excited about your PS?  I'm still waiting to here from Donna (Big City Girl).  I call her Babs, cuz she came out looking like Barbie!  She is going to look stunning after her face lift.

i think i did the same thing only i prob ate more than 300 calories an hour
well, i probably ate 300 an hour and drank the rest!  =)

yes, i am kinda excited about my PS
i have another appointment on wed to ask some questions about my butt

there is always a big butt - and it is mine!

Girl, I would KILL to have a facelift, but Dr. Duct Tape says I'm not ready for one yet.  The man is BLIND I tell ya!  But it's the neck waddle that bothers me the most, but he won't do just a neck lift, the li'l booger.  I haven't talked to Babs, she's probably still on the good drugs!

I'm tellin' ya, if you can afford it...get your butt done.  Ain't nothing like having a Happy Lifted A$$!  Having T&A at fifty-one is the BOMB.
