5 days Gluten Free
Okay,
Today is day #5 on the gluten free plan, and I weighed in 1 pound lighter at 260.
I guess the lack of gluten is aiding my my weight loss.
I am gluten free for one more week, and then I have labs run to see if I am indeed intollerant or sensitive to gluten.
I have to be honest, this week has not been difficult, it has actually been fun. I have made a bunch of new dinners, and they were all fantastic, so I am pleased this far. I also think that having a whole foods/organic kitchen has made this transition to the gluten free life nush easier for me.
So, lets get back to my weight... I have been stuck at this number for some time now, and I am desperatley trying to think of ways to get to the next number.
I have only made it to the gym 1 day this week, and only because I have had a terrible cold since Tuesday, so I feel sad abou that.
I hope to feel better bye the time the weekend is over, and get my butt back in there. I feel so damn good when I workout, I can't explain it, it just feels good to get moving and stretch and lift, and all that stuff.
I can defanitley see my body shrinking, I am way less poffie, and I just look healthier, so I know the changes I have mad ein the last year to have a more "Whole foods" lifestyle, have paid off. I just feel fabulous!!
The only thing more fabulous, would be missing my period..
I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend, and if you were going to throw in the towelthis weekend and start on Monday... try and think of Saturday and Sunday as 2 extra days to boost your week.. don't give in to the yucky overeating and self pitty, you will feel better in the end for having perserviered.
Also, thought I would post my weight chart, to prove that it's a slow, very slow process, and there are bumps, but you have to stay the coarse over time and take it 1 pound at a time... .
SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE
The green one was my highest weight last year...

I know how frustrating it is darlin'.. I"ve been wrestling with the same 20 lbs since may.. The lowest I've been to is 203, then I'll get back up to max, 222.. grrre..\
What I'm curious about is whether or not you FEEL a difference doing the gluten free.. do you have more energy, less.. about the same???

I don't see or feel a difference in energy, but I do feel less poofie, like my tummy is caving in instead of poking out. I should also note that I got a cold on Tuesday, so it's possible that I can not tell yet.
So far so good.. This weekend has been great, and I even made gluten free monkey bread yesterday, and even though I couldn't taste it, du to my cold, Aaron said it was really good.
Prepare for groseness....
The only thing I am kind of worried about, is the change in my bowel movements. I have been having poo the color of puree'd pumpkin, and sometime some are yellowi****hink I am going to consult my doctor to see if I should be alarmed.

That could be part of whatever is running through you right now.. the cold.. or virus as it is. Your body could also be adjusting.
The one thing I've learned in the past year is that NOTHING is gross and it's all relevant. I kinda worried about the poopie thing too with the low carb. At first it was running through me, then nothing for 5 days. Now I don't worry about it.
Well.. let's see how you're feeling when this cold clear up. I've heard a lot of people say that they got a boost in energy when going gluten free which makes sense and doesn't make sense all in the same thought....
I'm glad the weekend went well for you.. I know first hand how difficult it is to break the routine, do something different.. shake things up!
Keep doing your do girly.. sounds like you're right on it!
