Doctors apointment update
1.) Stop using progesterone cream / Go back on the 8th to have labs done to check progesterone levels while on metformin
2.) Begin clomid on day 5 of next cycle, and pray that I don't have a litter
Clomid is often a first line treatment to induce regular ovulation. Clomid works at the level of the hypothalamus where it competes for estrogen binding sites. When these "sites are occupied" by Clomid, the hypothalamus responds by producing more GnRH which then stimulates the pituitary to produce FSH. In a normal cycle healthy follicles produce estrogclomiden, which signals the hypothalamus to reduce production of FSH.
3.) Discuss lab results
4.) After 1 month of clomid, make an appointment to have an hysterosalpingogram / (HSG) is an X-ray test that looks at the inside of the uterus and fallopian tubes and the area around them.
5.) Move forward accordingly to infertility specialist he recommended and commence sperm check
6.) Prepare for financial ruin if I make it to option #5
Good times.. good times...
I am not sure how I feel... Part of me is scared to get on clomid, and the other part of me feels like.. ehhh.. whatever, it probably won't work, so I may as well get on it.
I think at the moment I am feeling quite numb.... I guess I thought I would go in there and there may have been a different outcome, but I am pretty much back in the waiting game.
One month on clomid, then I schedule the HSG, and then we move forward from there.
I am still in a holding pattern, so that is frustrating, but what can I do.. I am doing what I am supposed to do, so I guess I kind of feel like I have to just give it up to God, and stay the coarse.
