There's my little hunny bunny....

I believe it, Janina... I think every other day is a good idea for now until you build up some of dem leggy muscles!!  As time goes on, if you want to talk about interval training... I think it'll be so beneficial in not only helping with loss, but making it LESS boring... but that comes later.  For now..  WITHOUT BEING CONDESCENDING.. so don't take it like that....  I'm really proud of you!  I know first hand how hard it is to get started.. it takes a lot of guts!  (Not that you didn't already prove the guts part by getting the band to begin with).  Soon enough your energy level is going to spike and you won't know what to do with all of that extra energy...  WAIT.. I KNOW.. come down here and help me chop some firewood!  LOLOLOL  You can come to the gym with me (and ps.. I have a mustang that could use a little boost).. tee hee    You're just amazing!

Today's food:

B.. hamburger patty
L.  2 chicken thighs
D.  Haven't really decided... maybe hamburger pattty with egg and tomato....

I've been doing a lot of cooking to make sure Jon has decent meals while I'm gone so there's quite a bit to choose.  Today I made low carb chili and there's PLENTY .. also sausage peppers and onions w/tomato and garlic.

I gotta make him a few omlets so he can just grab a quick breakfast out of the freezer and nuke it while I'm away.

Exercise:
1 hour of interval training this morning
I have to do 1 hour of interval between 5 - 6
then my little monster boy from 6 - 7

So that'll give me three hours again today

CW.. not so good...  back up to 218.. then peed out a few pounds down to 215 and change..   doc on Friday .. so I'm looking forward to that.

If anyone knows of a pain medication that doesn't cause fluid retention.. please speak up!  Although the doctor swears that hydrocodone doesn't cause it - I can't help but believe that this is what's doing it to me.  I think any narcotic will have adverse effects on weight loss, but the thing is that sometimes aspirin just doesn't let me get through a workout.. so I feel kinda stuck.  I attribute my ability to get through 3 hours lately to the pain meds.. but I do NOT want to live on these suckers!!!  I wanna work out without help.. yanno?

Folks.. anyone with thoughts about substitutions for anxiety meds and pain meds...even cholesterol meds... I'd be open to hearing about any experience you have!

Thanks to all my babies!!

Thanks girl - I need all the support I can get right now.

Where are you going?  Why wasn't I invited???

Re: Pain meds - my fav is Naproxen Sodium (Aleve).  I take between 1100-1540mg's (5-7 aleve) and they work like a charm.  Naproxen is a muscle relaxer, so maybe that'll help you better then plain old aspirine?

I'm going to Florida.. and you have plenty of time to get down here to SC to take the ride with me.  I have a suite at the Hampton, so it'll be comfy.. only a couple of miles from the beach and Sharkey's on the Pier (live entertainment and great food right on the beach).  You're more than welcome!!  I don't like taking these rides alone, but I sure do love getting away for a couple of days.. and I'll drive as far as it takes to get there!  LOL  I'm leaving Thursday and coming back Sunday.

I guess I should have mentioned that the doc ixnayed me on the aleve, tylenol and anything of the sort cause I was overdoing it for years before I had stronger pain meds.. kinda did a little liver damage and the only thing OTC I'm good for is Bayer aspirin.  I was thinking of more like... I dunno... supplements?  Yanno.. some folks are really into the homeopathic stuff and I know NOTHING about it (although he knocked me off the Chromium picolinate and recently told me to stop taking ALL supplements except fish oil).  I'm so confused.. LOL  I just think the hardcore stuff is keeping me from losing .. yanno?

Hope you had a wonderful day.. and the offer stands... if ya wanna hit Florida with me.. all expense paid.. all ya gotta do is drive on down to SC tomorrow.. and Thursday morning we'll leave outta here around 5:00am!!  (make it in time for a great sunset on the beach and dinner with my daughter)!  :)   She's an artist and a musician.. you guys would get along famously!

Hubby swears by Valerian root... he has one version called Valerin I think. It's herbal, obviously, and does seem to work as a muscle relaxant.  I have used it to help me sleep. Hmmm come to think of it, you don't want to start snoozin on the treadmill. I doubt it would work that way, though.

Started day with a vanilla IsaLean shake with Ionix supreme (oh gosh) I'm zippin'!

To the gym with me, for a record 25 minutes on the elliptical (thank you Lori, you inspirer you) followed by weights and floor stuff. Impressed an old man today in our store by flexing my muscles. His wife was irritated.

Handfull of high fiber cereal for a snack

Lunch was another vanilla IsaLean shake this time with some orange Want More Energy (an electrolyte drink mix) so it was basically an Orange Julius and it was soooooooooooooo good

No time for snack

Dinner was leftover amazing chicken soup which was truly even better today. I had a LARGE bowl.

Snack? I think I'll mix up my favorite thing. It's terribly yummy

Trader Joe's Organic cheese-style yogurt (about 1/4 c)
Xylitol or raw honey
splash of vanilla

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm good. Good for gramma.

Favorite quote of the day came from hubby:
"All that hittin' it hard at the gym, lately? I can see it. Looks good"

YEAH BABY THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN ABOUT!!!!!

And, ladies, I just got a real break in my business. I nearly cried, but I just jumped up and down instead and hubby thought I'd lost my freakin' mind. I have an opportunity to present nutrition and our products at an exclusive retirement community right here in Bothell. YES YES YES YES YES

Sorry.

Ah hem.

As you were, ladies.

Yay Ruth! Talk about the Universe bringing to your door this type of thing! You will be a great resource.

yesterday I made a VERY unusual shake: chicken soup mix isogenix + 1 c buttermilk + 1 egg.  It tasted like a chilled creamy chicken soup.  I loved it. DH makes a cucumber chilled soup that is a lot like this (buttermilk at the base).

I appreciate the savory flavors - that is one thing about protein shakes - wow, i get tired of the sweet tastes.

neen, you are going to work thru this.  I bet you will see some big results!

yesterday:

1 hour wog + a few asanas

1 buttermilk/isogenix chicken/raw egg shake

1 soy hi pro drink - odwalla

L:  Very late in the day, on the fly, not a great choice:  1 slice ezeke bread + another odwalla drink (way too many cals in these)

Allow me to pause here.  All the preaching i do about planning - well my lack of is what screwed this day up.

2 shots tequila with diet coke - friend counseling session.

Supper: short ribs + 1 svg oven fries + home cole slaw

THEN: could not sleep, ate two mini chicken burgers. Supper just did not ring my bell.
