Thanks, Mary! sooo, B12 only, hmmm, and I just started taking a Super B complex!

One thing that came to my mind was years ago, I used to bruise easily and asked my doc about it - he said it was a zinc deficiency! I never took, then or now, any supplements for that.  Meat is supposed to have lots!

I actually do not bruise as easily as I did, b/c I do eat lots more meat nowadays than I ever have!

I cannot wait to read more.

Yanno, I started taking that B complex to help me heal from plastic surgery.  When I think back on it, I haven't lost one stinkin' pound since then...well, except for that twelve that I gained! Blushy 2 But the lower B vitamins interfere with fast oxidizers production of Vitamin A and C.  Too much C adds to our acidity levels.  I looked at my multiple vitamin and it has very little zinc.  OY Oh Jeez

Ok.. so the hump comes from the deficiency...  and B12 is basically the cure?

Let me see how to 'splain' cuz I ain't no expert.  The hump is from a hormone imbalance.  Estrogen, cortisol, stuff like that in us is out of whack.  Thus, the fat pad.  You said your brother had one.  Did you know that fat cells have estrogen in them, even in men.  That's why they get those man boobs.

The cure is very low carb diet, Zinc and Copper, B12 to balance Vitamin A and C, low salt intake, aerobic exercise done aggressively for half hour intervals, I didn't quite get why on that one, but you go to weight training when things even out.  That's the jist of it, but I'll let you know if I find out more that can be done.

I DEFINITELY will be printing all of this out and showing my doctor next week.  Yesterday he told me to stop ALL supplements except the fish oil....  this hump (although much reduced) just may be screaming for supplements..

Thank you for the info!

Awwe Neen, I feel your pain Sister.  When I had that hump, I felt totally DEFORMED.  Not just being fat deformed, but something that I had NO control over.  That's why I told my plastic surgeon to lipo it til he was rubbing on bone!  That was the best $1000 I've ever spent in my life.  And this from a woman who had some pretty uglee things going on with the rest of her body.

From everything I've read online since Neecee brought this up, Atkin's is part of the cure.  And that was from a doc who doesn't particularly care for Atkins!  I know that NONE of this is fair, but our bodies are different from other folks and we just have to learn to deal with the hand we were dealt by finding out everything we can to do what is best for the way that our bodies are wired.  We can get there, it just takes us a little while longer than others.

 Blowing Kisses Hang in there!

Big Hug Wouldn't it be great if we could just hug the fat right outta our fat cells?  I'd hug the hell out of you!!!

I'm going to type to Lori what I found out on the internet.  Very interesting.

Hmmm, my 17 year old daughter has a huge hump also.  So big that I've been considering taking her in to the doctor because of it.

I would take her to an endocrinologist so they diagnose the imbalance that is causing it.  If they start treating her now, she won't end up obese.  It could save her from a lot of grief later in life.
