That Kim...She's So Hot!
Bren, I was concerned aboutcha woman, I'm glad that you checked in. I haven't heard from Sharon though. I've talked to Russ several times and other than no electricity, they made it through just fine. He went and got in line to buy gasoline today just so he could sit in the air conditioned car!
I just looked on the weather channel website and the high tomorrow there is going to be 83 degrees...what a blessing! After Katrina, we had 21 straight days of 95 degrees in the shade. Ugggh
Glad to hear you made it,
Mary

Oh lord thank god she's alright. I just finished looking at some damage pictures Hurricane Ike caused - insane...
In New York, we're pretty luck with weather. Last Hurricane we got that was bad was Hurrican Gloria when I was like 7. Haven't had one since. We get some snow storms but I'm right on the coast so they're never too bad; especially now that global warming is setting in.

Oh Janina, you are so blessed to live in such a place that you don't have to deal with wicked weather. It's scawee...rain blowing sideways just ain't right! It sandblasted the finish off of my front door.
I saw the pics of Galveston where Ike came in. It's an eerie feeling seeing a blank spot where buildings used to be, not to mention so much history being lost. Good thing for Kim that Houston is so much further inland.

She should have 50's weather there tonight. My family is not too far and they have appreciated the cool front. I hope they can get power up and running soon as hers was only a tree compared to some of the others in the area.
I would ditch that damn garment and run around butt naked...she shouldn't swell with as much as she is probably sweating out of her.
Love you Kimmie!!!
Trix
Trix, she said that the power company is working on the lines with trees on them LAST! She needs a lawyer cuz that's discrimination!
She can't ditch the garment. Remember all of that lipo she had? She'd be a balloon in the heat! But a cool front is the best thing that could have happened to her at this stage of her surgery.
As much as that girl likes to run around nekkid, I predict that after all of this, she may NEVER wear clothes again!

Um, I think your prediction is right on....I can't WAIT to run around nekkid ALL the time!
The cool front did come through and it feels marvelous outside. I'm at my daddy's office right now charging up my computer and cell phone. The city looks like a disaster zone - trees down, no electricity, no restaurants open, limited gasoline, etc. but most people are thankful that the city didn't have really bad damage. Almost every tree I've seen - even HUGE pine trees - fell away from homes.
I've been wearing my garments 24/7 and now that it's cool, they helped keep me warm last night while I was sleeping. But I'm NOT gonna ***** about being cold 'cuz I can cover up.
The only MAJOR concern I have is that the water is potentially contaminated so I've been boiling distilled water to use to clean my incisions and myself.
Thanks for all your prayers and concern!
ttys,
Kimmie
