Jeremy Norman was a beloved member of the ObesityHelp community. Many of you got to know him and his story of courage and love. My family became friends with him last year online and loved his story. As documentary makers we set out last December to make a film about Jeremy's life and the scope of the obesity crisis. Tragically, five days after leaving Jeremy's home, he passed away. The film is called "Waiting for My Real LIfe" and will be coming to tv shortly.  Now, we feel the need to make a second documentary film on this topic of obesity, searching for solutions. Tammy at ObesityHelp has kindly given us permission to request your help.

We are looking for several powerful personal stories that could inspire and educate. What have you tried to help you overcome obesity? What's worked for you? What hasn't? Do you have a personal story like Jeremy Norman, that could touch peoples hearts? A story of hope, courage and complete honesty - that's what we're looking for.

If you'd like to share your story with us, we'd love to hear from you. Our hope is that these films will honor Jeremy's life goals of spreading love, understanding and hope to others. You can contact me at: [email protected]

Thank you sincerely,

Jonathan Harrison

I wish you all the luck in the world to find what your looking for.  I just wanted to say that I believe Jeremy did what he set out to do...to touch peoples lives and show how life really is, and make something of it while you can.  I would have been privileged to know him.  Unfortunately I'm one tha****ches his videos and read about him after he is gone.  Little did he know that his word would be spread even after he was gone.

Obesity is a horrible disease.  Not one to play around with, especially after hearing a story like Jeremies.  I don't even know how many people is on the OH sight, but I can tell you that every single person has a story.  Some might not be as horrible, but the the health issues, the depression, the anxiety, and just the way society looks at us in general is a sad story.  That is why I wish you luck.

A person takes so much for granite, little do they know how lucky they are.  They are able to breathe easier, wondering.. thinking constantly about if they are going to live the next year. Worry if they are going to have trouble walking up the stairs to work that day. Who's going to take care of the kids if they died that day because they are having a hard time breathing, I'm sure you got the picture.  Just yesterday I ate a bag of popcorn, no biggie right??  Three pounds on the very next day.  Now I know we can't gain three pounds over night.  But if I keep eating it everyday like numerous people in this world does, I will have it on my hips most definitely by the end of the week. That three pound "signal" is a warning sign.  It's a scary thing watching yourself go up in weight constantly!

I'm looking forward to watching your documentary.  I'll be looking out for it.  And thank you for putting it out there, spreading the knowledge you get! :) It not only lets others know, but helps us also!
