Janina's Pity Party
Hey Janina,
It sounds like you've got a plan in place. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that between the strict week on Atkins and then the addition of exercising next week that will kick your weight loss back into gear. I know how frustrating it is to be stalled and trying to figure out why in the world the weight won't come off. First question...are you eating enough? I found that I was stalled for 6 weeks when I knew I shouldn't be. I had stopped keeping track of my protein and calorie counts. While I knew my protein was where it needed to be, I finally found out after restarting my food journal that I wasn't taking in enough calories. My poor body was storing all it could. Did your nutritionist put you on a particular meal plan after your surgery? Is it possible to contact your nutritionist for ideas on how to shake up your meal plan to restart weight loss if Atkins doesn't work? I'm into my 8th month and won't be going back to my nutritionist until my 1 year anniversary. Now saying that, she encouraged me to call or email her if I need help in revamping my meal plan.
Just know we understand what you're going through. You know you can do it. You did pick the most difficult surgery, but you did that for very good reasons. You can still rock that band for all it's worth.
Now no more crying...you've got the plan and now your going to rock it out. IF after giving it everything you've got, those pesky pounds and inches aren't melting well we'll help you to think of some other plan. Now be sure to measure, measure, measure. Even if you don't seem to be losing weight, you could be losing inches.
