Climbing tooth & nail onto bandwagon again

Update, checking in...

I am taking my own inventory each step of each day and those nasty munchy lazy times are getting their butt kicked to the kerb! I am choosing to be responsible for my own actions and the consequences of those actions.  I remind myself that not choosing is itself a choice.

Good news is that I have managed to revanquish a little of that creep on weight that has tried to pay me a visit.

I have a cartoon at home... which I laugh at (but it reminds me of the battle too) It shows a group of fat cells and one says to the rest "Ready to head back?".

I like that carton idea. Once I handed my fat cells their walking papers, I made sure they knew they weren't welcome to return. That's a great visual, though...

Daily, simple disciplines, will get us to our goals. And the longer good choices are our daily discipline, the easier it will get.

Stay the course!

Yes, just realizing we put ourselves in this position is great!!! One step, one bite, one pound /kilo at a time!!!

Good luck!

GOOD one!!I can remember years ago some diet person on
tv was talking about hunger pains...and how to ignore them when the night-time munchie**** etc.  If you're laying there in bed, or in front of the tv and your tummy growls (usually after some Pizza Hut commerical with the slow-motion cheese comes on lol)and you've already had enough food for the day, you dont want to go drink water cause it will keep you up traveling to the loo all night.....just try to imagine that the 'growling' is your body chomping away at the fat cells.  They will chomp and chomp and chomp (growl growl growl) but just let em have their fun..let em fill up with the cells....cause by the time you wake up in the morning....the hunger won't be quite as bad and you'll feel better about yourself for not eating late at night....and less cells!!(ok not really but hey, those mind tricks can help at times)  And if you're like anything like I am, once you start popping stuff in your mouth late at night, then you can't stop...and rarely are you grabbing the carrot sticks (more like carrot cake)before you know it, you've consumed a half days calories or more.  YIKES!

Em, I knew that as soon as you got over your li'l funk that you would be right back on track.  You're one of the most discliplined dieters I've ever met, so I was never the least bit worried aboutcha.

I'm amazed that your fat cells had the nerve to come back!!!  They just had to know that you were going to zap 'em! Flamethrower

Hey Em

This sounds like the words of ONE DETERMINED woman!   Now we know those times aren't "lazy", but you know what's happening and you're doing what you have to do... and I find that inspirational.. to say the very least.

You're giving yourself a break.. ;)  Good deal!

God Bless ya!

Ems, so glad you found your fight again...hey that stuff comes and goes, huh?????

You do need a little TLC right now, so let that be in the shape of best case food, maybe writing it all out (then burning it LOL), meditation, new classes, longer walks outside, Time alone in a restful area.

Too much food never did anything  but hurt us, may we all remember THAT!

"The only way to keep your health is to eat what you don't want, drink what you don't like, and do what you'd rather not."   ~Mark Twain
