Uh huh, this is what we get for having older siblings.  We know all of the oldies but goodies!  My favorite channel on satellite radio is the sixties!  Woodstock?  I here that was a 'pharmaceutical event'!

Yes.. definitely a pharmaceutical event.. and better ones than we got in the late 70's!  It truly was a music experience though.  It was a strange and quick transition from sitting on the porch with a bowl of hash and a guitar to painting our eyes black, straightening our hair and sneaking into punk clubs.  Next thing you know it was all Tom Petty..  then The Black Crowes.  The only constant from 1969 onwards in my music was Bowie.. then later appreciating who had been there all along - Neil Young!  Seeing both of them in concert is always like looking at old friends.  My kid was like the only 13 year old on the floor for CSNY (with all of us old folk) in $400 seats.. She was in the 4th row with a tear in her eye when Neil Young did After the Gold Rush.  We had 3rd row center for Bowie in 2005 for the Reality tour and the stage was extended into the third row.  Bowie walked up to us and bent over and put out his hand and JON (the jerk) reached up to shake his hand.  I was so pissed!  I was like "THAT WAS FOR THE CHILD"!!  Jess was like Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad for two weeks!  LMAO  OH.. man.. good times!  Jessi reminded him that the last time she was at a Bowie concert she was just a fetus~!

Today..... I broke my own abstinence and went to the gym.  (My sugar was like 150.. I had to work it down)..  and it was ALL Rod Stewart today.  Thank goodness the gym was fairly empty cause at the end of the first hour my IPOD found "Twistin' the Night Away" and I was dance/walking on the treadmill.  Some stuff just makes ya MOVE, yanno?  I don't care.. lol

Mary - i have a camp stove for this type of real emergency (lack of coffee, not the winds/death/pain, LOL)

Gal, get one with those stupid cans of fuel...you will love it and hide it and sell coffee at the next power outage

LOL...sell coffee during power outtages.  That's what I loves aboutcha, you're always thinking!

My husband has his eye on one of those big gas barbecue grills with a burner on the side that are all on sale right now.  I have MY eye on a smaller one.  The man never barbecues...so I'm missing his point.  Apparently it's a caveman thing!

Coffee..MMMMM.  I live for the stuff.  I should make up my own diet, the "Coffee Plan".  Several cups in the morning, a sf soy latte at lunch, your last cup of coffee as an after noon snack, ONE glass of water at dinner time, and a teeccino after dinner (don't want too much coffee ya know..hehe).  That pretty much sums up my day!

Like my husband says...he's never seen anything like Alaskans and their ice cream and their espresso stands.  We can be miles away from town but there will be still be a espresso stand around the corner in the middle of no where.

You need to invest in a little camp stove and a propane bottle for emergency use girl.  I couldn't live without the java.

For a second there I thought, geeze Holly could make a ton of money writing a book about the "Coffee Plan Diet", but then I read the whole plan.  Can you make money off a "Coffee Plan Diet" pamphlet? Thinking Hmmm?
