Small acts!

I heard yet another inspiring phrase this weekend; I am sure it is paraphrased badly:

"Commit several small acts daily toward your goal rather than worshipping Some Big Dream."

What that means to me is that all the "little things' many of us do every day to lose/maintain weight and health DO make a difference. It all matters!

This is why for me I can so easily focus on the literally hundreds of small things I do right over 1-2 equally small transgressions.

I am grateful that I realize that I am finally mature. Maturity is what helps us turn this corner to choose right most often no matter what we are talking about: love, finance, health, spiritual matters.

What small acts did you guys do today? Above the Proud things!

I have a LOT of respect for you, woman!!  (and I don't say that stuff often)..   lol

Ok... I did a small, yet disgusting thing...tee hee

So.. I get on the scale and it's over 217 again..  I shake my head and think "ok.. keep doing the do".

I had a piece of sausage and 1 egg around 5:30am.... but I've been busy around the house so I haven't had a chance to eat.  (PS.. my bathroom looks FABULOUS and I'm almost done with the kitchen).

There I was a few minutes ago (it's already 4:30pm), hungry, still working... but knew I had to do SOMETHING... so I... lol...

poured flax seed oil in my coffee and tried to drink it!  LMAO

I got through 1/2 a cup....  it was a SMALL effort.... but considering how disgusting this stuff is, the effort is worthy of at least a nod!

Flax seed oil in your coffee. I wish there was a cyber gold star we could stick to you for trying!!! Now, I do put coconut oil in my coffee on occasion, and it's quite tasty. You might check that out.

Don't short change yourself by killing your metabolism. Even if you keep a zippy bag of raw almonds in your pocket - something to keep your body processing and working.

The LESS someone like me eats.. the better!!  LMAO

I've done the coconut oil.. it was just a .. yanno....  an impulse.

I was covered in paint (usually I get just as much on me as I do on the walls), pouring a cup of coffee but REALLY hungry and I just wanted to shut my stomache up in a GOOD way...  Yanno...  in the spirit of Neecee's "small acts".  I went in the fridge for the cream... and there it was.... the bottle of flax seed oil................  Now, I've put that on a tablespoon and swallowed it before, but never put it in my coffee and Lord as my witness here and now.... NEVER AGAIN!  BLEEEEEECH!!

ps.....  pockets!  I haven't worn anything with pockets in over 10 years!!!!  I CAN'T WAIT TO WEAR A PAIR OF JEANS AGAIN!!!!

OK, then a little shoulder bag of emergency stuff! Eating "less" isn't the whole thing, and I know you know that. But you can slap your metabolism into shut down mode, which isn't what you want. I know you'll reach your goal because you are committed. Or, maybe you should BE committed! :-) You'll wear those jeans, honey. If you're "REALLY" hungry, you best feed the beast with something good for you! If not raw almonds, then some lean protein and/or veggie. I like to wrap tuna in a basil leaf and eat it bite by bite like that.
NOT while covered in paint...

We'll be painting a nursery here shortly... daughter is having a little boy in December. Wanna come paint?????

I'll count on it! :-) I love maroon. I did my whole bedroom in maroon in Wenatchee WA. I don't know what color my daughter wants for her baby boy's room, but she's picking linens in sage and taupe tones... so maybe you have a clever idea?

naaaa.. home decor is not my thing at all.  I'm the least artistic person I know.  I usually depend on my daughter's talented eye.

I took a nap today instead of stuffing my face out of boredom.  Is that good?
