OT: sublingual immunotherapy

Anyone ever tried this before? I just ran into it and wonder why my doc hasn't asked me if I want to try it.  Well, probably because he wants me on everything he's taking!  

Just curious on any outcomes you guys have heard of.  I'm getting sick of my allergies/asthma problems.  I even suffer for hours when someone washes their hair.  I can smell the dirt on my dogs, and the dust that most people can't smell.  It's starting to be miserable where I never want to be inside a building or my own house.  I'm scared going to work on monday with all these teenage girls around with their perfume on.  So I' m looking around everywhere for some advice or help.

My doc did prescribe a nasal steoid for me, of course he takes it too!  But I remember it made me feel weird, I didn't like it.  So I would rather not take it.

Anyone know anything about this sublingual immunotherapy?
